Lovely room in a historical building with view

This cozy room is one of the 8 rooms of a 700 year old building with a Venetian 1st floor & a Turkish addition of the two next floors and has been declared a listed monument. Its renovation was made with respect to the history and with care to preserve the atmosphere and the particular physiognomy of the building and the aesthetics of the old harbor. The space This is an almost 700 year old building of the Venetian era with some Turkish extensions. Primarily it was used by Venetians and Turks as administrational offices. Plates with merchant/ trading records in Old Turkish script (Arabic) have been found and been given to the museum registers. It was then used as apartments for Turkish and Greek families. Each room was occupied by a single family. A kitchen was on each floor and families cooked together. In the 60’s it was bought by a young doctor and used as a hippy commune. It was later run as a hostel by a cretan neighbor of George who gave the hostel the name of his love, a girl from Britain named Carry-Theresa.. Registration Details Exempt
