Description

te Whare - "terraces in the long white cloud" is a truly unique indigenous boutique bed & breakfast experience. Absolutely stunning views over Lake Tarawera to the dormant volcano from an award winning resort style home environment. The space te Whare is a truly unique expression of contemporary Maori architecture at its best. The ""whare" or suites are individual eco units with solar power and integrated passive solar design. Guest access We have a choice of four "whare" or suites available depending on your personal needs and preferences. "whare Aroha" is our premier honeymoon suite with bedroom, lounge, ensuite and tea and coffee kitchenette; "whare Xia" and "whare Coco" are separate units that share a common bathroom, and "whare Riko" is a self contained one bedroom apartment with separate lounge and galley kitchen. This listing is for “Whare Aroha” - please enquire if you would prefer one of our other suites. We provide a boutique experience so we strictly limit the number of guests to 5. Other things to note We can accommodate up to 5 guests in your choice of four separate "whare" or suites but presently limit occupancy to one couple only in the single “whare Aroha” suite. This gives you maximum exclusivity and privacy.
