Guest access The Chalet The owner does not live on the property so the entire chalet and grounds are available to guests. Explore Curlew Curlew has 100 acres to explore. It has 1km of river frontage. To get you started, we have a 200 meter graded track marked with a granite sentinel down to Curlew Gorge. See the granite outcrops, natural caves, 16 meter natural rock swimming pool. Wilderness Curlew is set in the Granite Belt’s spectacular natural wonderland, home to 5 national parks. Visit the ruggedly beautiful Girraween, Sundown, Boonoo Boonoo, Maryland and Bald Rock National Parks, all with extensive hiking trails. Other things to note Curlew Retreat is located at: 399 Wylie Creek Road Maryland NSW 4377 It is 2 hours, 15 minutes from Brisbane at the Granite Belt. It lies 20 minutes North East of Stanthorpe and 10 minutes east of Thulimbah. To help find us, there are direction signs placed at the major junctions of Wylie Creek Road. Internet & Phone Connectivity At Curlew Curlew Retreat is in a remote and rugged area. We often get asked about Internet and phone access by guests. WiFi Internet access 128 kbps is provided over the NBN Satellite. Telstra mobiles will have limited coverage but operate from inside the villa. Ensure you have 3G enabled.
