Downstairs there is one large bedroom and large living room which can be used for sleeping if guests wish to. There is a king size bed in the main bedroom for two people and guests may choose to have a single bed or a double bed mattress put in the living room. For groups of 2 or more people, guests may choose to sleep in either of the two cosy upstairs loft rooms , designed to provide privacy but still allow the breeze in and a view of the ocean from the bed, with fan and mosquito nets provided. PLEASE NOTE, the stairs to the upstairs loft rooms are outside , not enclosed in the house. So not suitable for small children who may wake up during the night and want their parents . Guests with small kids usually choose to have mattresses put in the living room for their kids to sleep on. Guests sleeping upstairs may take a set of keys with them, in case they need to use the bathroom or kitchen in the middle of the night when the downstairs guests are sleeping and the downstairs section is locked. The temperature in the house is nice and cool, since the second floor space was added, keeping the sun off the first floor roof, it is cool and refreshing in the house, and so no guests have used the air conditioning since then. |Also, The grid infrastructure in the local village is not yet stable and strong enough to safely power the air con. (air conditioning has been removed from the amenities list for the house until further notice). There are fans in the main bedroom and living room and in each of the loft rooms.. Guests may use the kitchen to prepare meals. The kitchen has a fridge, gas cooker, oven, blender, plates, bowls, pots, pans and cutlery, ample bench and cupboard space and a counter with high chairs. Drinking water, cooking oil, coffee, tea, milk and sugar are provided , and included in the rate. There are mini markets in Kuta selling bread, pasta, fruit and vegetables, cheese, margarine, snacks, condiments etc. The outdoor markets are held in Kuta on Wednesday and Sunday mornings, where you can get a wider range of foods, fresh and prepared, including fresh seafood. You can sleep in comfort and security, in the cool night temperatures, by locking only the iron security doors (with insect screen), and leaving the windows and main doors open. Large terrace with hammocks and rocking chairs. Picturesque sunrises and twilight ambiance are very nice. Only 2 minutes by scooter, or 7 minutes on foot, from a couple of ocean view restaurants, 5 to 7 minutes down to Kuta, which has a good range of restaurants and cafes. 10 minutes to beautiful Are Goling and Mawun beaches. Mawun is safe for swimming and sunbathing at any tide. There are several quality wet and dry season surf spots within 10, 20 and 30 minutes drive. The host lives 3km away on north side of mawun road.. cleaning is done every day sometime between 11 am and 5pm Guests must take their clothes to the laundry and pick it up again themselves. There are many laundries in Kuta. You'll enjoy one of the few places offering quiet, secure, comfortable accommodation with amazing ocean views. If you reserve online a day before or on the same day as your check-in, it is very important that you contact the host on airbnb, to ensure you will be welcomed by the host or the maid, and given the keys without having to wait. As previous guests have said in reviews, renting a motorbike or car is essential, as there is no public transport system. Exceptionally fit guests may choose to walk or ride a bicycle to and from Kuta, (35 and 15 mintues respectively) or to the beaches to the west, but be warned, it's quite hilly. The main road from Kuta up the hill to Prabu has been upgraded and is in excellent condition. However, the final 150m road to access the property is not asphalt. It is a dirt road.. Access by car or motorbike is fine, you just need to go slowly.
