Kiltearn House is a Victorian former Manse set in a beautiful countryside location directly on the coast with magnificent sea views across the Cromarty Firth. Set in the area known as Ross-Shire, this is where you see the Highlands as you would imagine it. Winding roads, rugged ever changing landscapes, natural beauty and friendly locals. The perfect start or finish to your North Coast 500 adventure! The space The Superking room is one of 5 ensuite rooms located at the top of the grand staircase on the first floor. This spacious bedroom has a comfy superking size bed with soft, fluffy towels, robes and quality bedding. Enjoy panoramic sea views and watch the sheep grazing in the field adjacent. Wifi is available throughout. Tea and coffee facilities are provided, along with a mini-fridge containing fresh milk. You will find complimentary water on the landing along with an honesty fridge for your convenience. We have an online guidebook available on arrival listing ideas of what to see and do, simply scan the QR code for access. We are always on hand for suggestions, ideas and directions. Breakfast is a choice of continental or cooked and is pre-selected the evening before so we may prepare for the morning. Breakfast is served in the conservatory during the summer months and in the dining room in the cooler months. Relax and unwind in the guest lounge by the log fire or plan your day with one of our many guidebooks for the area. Guests can order a takeaway or pre-order one of our cheeseboards and use the dining room facilities. Less than a mile along the road in the small village of Evanton there is a co-op for your convenience. There is also a Morrisons and a Tesco within a 20 minute drive. The nearest petrol station is The Skiach, a 4 mile drive away. The property is a stone's throw from Kiltearn Beach. Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the circular walk, where you may pass the old fishing bothy and the site of where Balconie Castle once stood. Signposts are dotted along the walk explaining the history and local wildlife. The firth is an ideal spot for canoeing, kayaking and wild water swimming. Other popular nearby attractions include the Black Rock Gorge, Loch Glass and Fyrish Hill. A little further afield is Aviemore and the Cairngorms National Park and Loch Ness. We are also ideally located for the avid golfer and fishing fan. We have rod racks available and secure storage for bicycles. During your stay Kiltearn Guest House is a family run guest house. The owners live on-site and are on hand to assist with any queries. Other things to note We are fully compliant and the fire alarm is tested weekly.
