Robinson House Marieta on Gangaro Island

Our house is small and cozy, with a bread stove of more than 100 years old, the fireplace in the living room and everything needed for a pleasant stay. It was regularly used by our ancestors, mostly they lived in Murter, while they came to Gangaro to grow vineyards, breed sheep and fish. Later they started planting olive trees. There is a small fridge and gas oven, running water in the kitchen and toilet, 12 VDC solar-charged battery for lihgts and a small 12VDC / 230VAC converter for laptops and gadgets. There are some tables and chairs for outside space and sun loungers. There is also an indoor shower with heated water. Nature and surroundings Since 1884, around 20 houses have been built, so there is now a small village, but without permanent residents - most owners live permanently in Murter, about 7 miles away, and regularly come to grow, fish or just enjoying the weekend. There is a fairly large number of oliveyards surrounded by dried stone walls, which protect the trees against strong northeast winds, especially towards the coastline. There is a natural source of fresh water in the middle of the village, and also a votive chapel built in 1887, about 600 meters from the village. The place is ideal for parents with small children, because there is a sandy beach near our house. Our family has around 250 olive trees on the island and we also come regularly to cultivate and do the harvest, and also to enjoy the weekend as fast as we can. Other things to note Dear guests, to reach our little house on the island of Gangaro, you will have to come to Murter, Dalmatia first . There is parking space for your car. In Murter you can do your shopping and buy everything you need for your first days on the island .Than we will transfer you to the island by our boat .
