Description

Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch is a historic oasis in the Tonto National Forest. The ranch lies along the Lower Salt River just below Saguaro Lake, in the shadow of the scenic Goldfield Mountains. At Saguaro Lake Ranch - life is simple. Sun-filled days, exciting adventures, idyllic star-lit nights and good company. Our 20 rustic cabins with panoramic views of a wilderness make our property a true oasis in Arizona's Sonoran Desert. ***LODGING TAX of 7.27% will be charged separately upon arrival. The space The main ranch house has a wide porch overlooking a shaded lawn with a full view of the imposing Bulldog cliffs. In its early days, the lodge functioned as the mess hall, ice house, and commissary for the construction crew who lived on the site while building the Stewart Mountain Dam from 1927 to 1930. The central feature of our dining room is a giant saguaro cactus skeleton which used to stand at the bottom of Saguaro Lake. Seating for 60 is available at tables of four to ten surrounding the cactus. If you’re searching for AZ guest ranches, you’ll discover our ranch is the perfect place to relax and escape hectic city life. There are no TVs, radios, clocks, or phones in our 20 guest cabins for that very reason (although those amenities are available in the main lodge.) Even though we are a rustic ranch, our rooms are well-maintained, quaint, and decorated in a western style. All have their own bathrooms, and each is heated and air conditioned. For reheating prepared foods each cabin has a small refrigerator and microwave. Enjoy our “cowboy” breakfast with eggs, bacon or sausage, potatoes, yogurt, fresh fruit, orange juice and coffee/tea. We also serve one of the following each morning – blueberry pancakes, French toast, or waffles, with butter and syrup. Guest access As a guest you will have access to our historic lodge areas including the Round Up room with pool table and our one and only TV. Our Fireplace room with plenty of seating to enjoy a good book or play a game. Our expansive upper and lower lawn areas with shade trees and pool. Enjoy horseback riding, kayaking, tubing and multiple hiking trails right from the ranch.
