Seatree Retreat on Hamilton Island (FREE Valet!)

This self contained retreat is downstairs from our family home. It has it's own private entrance and is surrounded by tropical gardens. You will love the tranquility of this location, yet it is only a 10 minute walk to Catseye Beach. The perfect getaway for a couple or small family. The space Our retreat has a tropical garden entry into the main area which has great natural air flow with stylish western red cedar louvres throughout. The space keeps cool in our tropical summers, with ceiling fans for extra air flow. There is a separate bedroom with a super comfortable queen size bed and storage for your belongings. Melaleuca Drive is a quiet street only a 2 minute walk to the iconic All Saints Chapel, perfect for wedding guests! You can walk to the Marina and the Resort Centre from our place in 10-15 minutes. There is a steep hill which may not suit guests with mobility issues. The island has free buses which can drop you only a 7 minute walk away. Alternately, you can also hire an electric golf buggy from the Resort Buggy Hire. Guest access Guests have FREE access to the Hamilton Island Main Resort centre which has table tennis, futsall for all visitors to use. The Resort Centre is also where you'll find swim up bar swimming pools and further down the beach you'll see the Bouganvillea pool which are all free for your pleasure. The scenic trails on the island are a great way to connect with nature. If you're after meeting new people, there are also many free activities offered to all Hamilton Island guests, just check out the Whats On guide on the HI App and join in for some trivia and bingo fun, or be entertained with some live music while you appreciate a magnificent Whitsunday sunset! Dent Island Golf Course, Beach hire, Sports Club facilities and tour options are available at a price paid direct to the operator. We love to provide recommendations if you need any ideas on how to spend your time. Please download the Hamilton Island App which provides information on the many tours and restaurants and allows you to pre-book prior to arriving on island. Other things to note We are a busy family and enjoy early morning activities on the island, so you may hear our golf buggies departing early. Our tropical garden is a work in progress so we will be accessing the garden space. We also have a friendly dog who loves to roll on the grass at the retreat, so be prepared to enjoy cuteness plus! Our place is perfect for visitors with a keen interest in bird watching as there is a roosting area across the street where the Sulphur Crested Cockatoos and other birds group at night. Please note they are very noisy at sunrise! The Hamilton Island App, which can be downloaded through the app store on your smartphone , is a handy pocket-guide to everything there is to see and do. Restaurants, buggies and activities are in high demand so it's important that you plan and book ahead to avoid disappointment. Groceries Hamilton Island has an IGA supermarket for all of your grocery needs. There is a bottle shop conveniently located next door. Hamilton Island is mostly CASHLESS. To avoid card fees at HIE outlets insert your card, if it’s link to a savings &/or cheque account, don’t tap, & advise the server. (Some independent shops which take cash might still charge debit card fees) (Trader Pete’s, the Swimwear, Resort & Lobby shop at the Resort Centre, Lobby Shop at Reef View, Airport Shop & Post Office don’t have credit card fees.) ℹ️You can deposit or withdraw cash at the Post Office, with a physical card (except ANZ & BOQ), subject to daily limits in place by Bank@Post. You can also exchange cash for prepaid MasterCards sold at Australia Post Hamilton Island ($5.95 for the card). Cash can also also be withdrawn over the top bar on the gaming level at the Tavern, where cash can also be used for drinks. ❌There are no ATMs or Banks on the island. Hamilton Island also offers a complimentary Shuttle service. Simply hop on or off at any of the designated stops, and use the service as much or as little as you like.
