Lovely two bedroom apartment with stunning panoramic views looking across the Darthaven marina and River Dart to Dartmouth and the Britannia Royal Naval College. Watch the boats and steam trains from the juliette balcony or take the five minute ferry across to Dartmouth. Kingswear is a charming character village with some of the most beautiful views across the River Dart. It has shops, pubs, a post office and is a great location being centrally located to explore the whole of South Devon. The space The sitting room has double glazed french windows opening on to a contemporary glass Juliet balcony with outstanding views over the River Dart. There are two brown leather sofas with throw cushions, a wooden coffee table and a nest of three small side tables (located either side of one of the sofas). There is a wooden bookcase with books on the local area and a range of novels. Also includes a LCD HD television and DVD player. There is a also a large floor lamp and table lamps. In the kitchen there are six floor units (including one 4 drawer unit) and seven wall mounted units, two of which are glass fronted. These include a full range of crockery, cutlery and glass wear. Worktops are black with a built in stainless steel electric oven under a black glass 4 ring halogen hob with extractor fan over. It has a built in dishwasher, fridge/freezer, a freestanding microwave, an under-worktop, freestanding washing machine. A square beech and 4 dining chairs. Spot lights in the ceiling and under-cupboard strip lights and a light over the extractor fan. Bedroom one has a double bed with built in wardrobe with hanging space and shelf. There are wooden bedside units each side of the bed, with lamps and a chest of drawers. There is a wall mounted mirror and two wooden and linen director’s chair. The bedroom has a flat screen TV and DVD player. Overhead air fan for very warm days. Bedroom 2 has a built in wardrobe with hanging space and an oak framed single bed which has a second, pull-out bed underneath. Oak bedside unit and an oak framed wall mounted mirror. The bathroom has a walk-in shower unit with glazed screens and electric power shower as well as a bath. A back lit illuminated mirror located above the hand basin with shaver socket. The bathroom has underfloor heating and a heated towel rail. The bathroom also has an airing cupboard which houses the iron, ironing board, airing dryer, washing basket and vacuum cleaner. There is also a round metal table and two chairs that are kept here to use for sitting in front of the Juliette balcony, with the French doors open when the weather is warm. The apartment has unlimited WiFi and heating is via an electric convector heater (except in the bathroom which has underfloor heating). The apartment is carpet throughout with tiles on the bathroom floor and kitchen. Guest access The apartment is on the second floor. You enter through the main apartment block entrance which also has a security phone for each apartment. Each flight comprises 6 to 7 steps with 3 wide landings between each flight before reaching the second floor. The stairs are an ample width of 40” and there is a handrail on the right hand side as you go up the stairs. There is both timed lighting and security lighting on each floor. There is also integrated fire alarms throughout the communal lobby and stairs. When guests arrive they will usually be met in person, shown the main areas in the apartment and given the keys or during very busy periods there is a key safe located nearby. Other things to note Please note when 3 guests are staying bedroom 2 will be set up with a single bed (please see photo), but when 4 guests are staying bedroom 2 will have the oak framed single bed plus a second, pull-out bed which remains at floor level. When both bed are out the space is quite tight.
