See spectacular starry shows at night. Enjoy the magic. Fish, Surf, kayak, hike, relax & Explore... The space A beautifully decorated beach cottage that is in a small-town Durras North, in Murramarang National park. You are welcomed by Kangaroos, birds, a fish estuary Lake, walking tracks, surf spots, beaches, rock pools and stunning starry nights. This place is a true escape that you won’t regret. I have searched far and wide for a secret spot like this. The memories that can be created here are priceless. There are not many places where you can enjoy wildlife, sea life, diving, snorkelling, surfing, hiking, exploring, all in a hidden away small, isolated community. You have the national park full of riding trails, the massive, isolated beach, and a lake in each direction that you look. We have 3 kayaks, a surfboard, and Stand-Up Paddle board to add to the fun! Other perks are, in peak season, you can buy breakfast at the little cafe/bait shop a few minutes walking distance. We have an outdoor firepit, indoor fireplace, trampoline, and video and board games. Please note there is an extra room available but increases costs to cleaning. Please see other listing. Guest access Entire home. Other things to note The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with tea, coffee, and coffee pod machine. We also have a great Webber family BBQ around the back, perfect for cooking your catch of the day or the prawns at night! * My neighbour has grown a strong interest in making honey which means you can buy the local honey, however occasionally you will see honey bees on the deck. Please make your guest aware if there is a bee allergy. So far no one has been stung nor has it been an issue. There is a local cafe and store/bait shop with all your basic needs however it adds up so I would bring an esky with food or visit the lovely Batemans Bay and do a shop only 25 minutes’ drive. We do have Wi-Fi and phone service is excellent. National park means if a tree falls there can be power outages, if it’s a bad situation lasting over night we do have a back up generator for water and a few lights and fridge. What to pack for the adventurous family: - flip flops/thongs and slippers for inside - bug spray for night time. - beach towels - fishing rods- fish bite so Kmart rods work great. flathead rig. Book bag to carry your stuff and pliers. fishing license- can buy online or at bait shop up the street. - Polaroid glasses- it’s a game changer - hat - kids fishing rod bc it’s so easy for them too - large net for prawning and kids net - very good handheld spotlight for prawning - bait- prawns, worms, pilchards for surf - shoes to explore rock pools and hiking trails - bug spray, sunscreen - gym clothes and swimmers bc no one dresses up here. - bikes, stroller, or beach trolley - esky and lots of snacks and water bottles to refill - surfboard, boogie board or float -bird seed- sunflower seed -s’mores stuff or marshmallows and sausages for fire pit outside - food, milk, alcohol unless u drink wine as the neighbors sells his homemade wine.
