Woodpecker Cottage (Dog Friendly)

Set in the pretty, sandstone village of Great Salkeld, Woodpecker Cottage is the perfect Cumbrian retreat. This single storey dog friendly cottage, comfortably sleeps 2 and has the use of a large garden. You’ll love Great Salkeld with its excellent village pub, ancient church and its many countryside walks. The village is set in the tranquil Eden Valley, close to the river Eden. Just 10 miles from the Lake District National Park, it makes an ideal base from which to explore this stunning region. The space Woodpecker Cottage offers light, spacious accommodation which has been finished to a high standard. It has a cosy sitting room, a double bedroom, kitchen dining room, and bathroom with walk-in shower. If you are travelling with a baby we can provide a travel cot and high chair. The kitchen includes a washing machine, microwave, fridge, freezer and basic store cupboard ingredients. The cottage is detached and sits opposite our converted barn. It has its own outside seating area and guests are welcome to use our large garden and pretty summer house. There is full wheelchair access throughout the property. With its underfloor heating it is a big hit with visiting dogs. Guest access Guests have complete unshared use of the cottage. There is plenty of off road parking next to the cottage. Other things to note There is underfloor central heating throughout the cottage, electric fire effect stove in the sitting room, Wifi, iron and ironing board. The cottage is located in a valley so mobile phone reception is limited unless you have WiFiCall on your mobile phone.
