Sunny studio with rural views
Sunny studio with rural views
Description
A bright self-contained studio between Launceston and Bude with stunning rural views. Located in a secluded, elevated position between the moors and beaches of North Cornwall, it is perfect for a couple of nights away or a holiday. We have been welcoming guests for 9 years now although for the last 12 months have hosted a Ukrainian family who have now returned home. The space Although listed as sleeping 4, this is really a 2+2, suitable for a couple with up to two small kids on the sofa bed. The studio is a conversion of what used to be Steve’s recording studio. It is bright and airy with views of the garden and over surrounding fields to the distant hills of Bodmin Moor. Access is through the studio's own front door. The double bedroom has a super comfortable king size bed with a down duvet and Egyptian cotton sheets and an en-suite shower room. From here guests can access the private decked balcony at the rear through the stable door which is the perfect spot for morning coffee or watching the sun go down with a bottle of wine. The fully equipped kitchen/sitting room provides a comfy living area with TV/sound system and a double sofa bed. There is electric underfloor heating and hot water. Free super fast broadband wifi is available with top speed of around 80Mb/s. There is plenty of off/on road parking in our quiet lane which has no through traffic and serves only the farm and a couple of houses. If you need the buzz of traffic to lull you to sleep this is the wrong place for you! Your decking is private but leads to the family garden which you are free to enjoy. The immediate area is very child friendly with a swing and table tennis in the garden and the narrow lane running between the fields to the farm. Either Steve or Sally (sometimes even both, depending on work) is usually around and we are happy to help in any way we can, or are equally happy to leave you to your own devices. We will provide you with a welcome pack to include fresh bread, butter, milk, cereals and home produced free range eggs together with a selection of teas and fresh coffee. We are also happy to do an advance shop for you if you let us know your requirements. We have a good knowledge of the local area, Steve having been here since 1991, and are happy to recommend destinations for days out and activities. The property is 15 minutes drive from the main A30 Launceston junction and is easy to find up our little tarmac lane - no muddy farm tracks to deal with! The local area is very rural and fairly off the main tourist track. There are miles quiet lanes and some local woods for walking and cycling, and further afield the beaches of North Cornwall for surfing or sandcastles, Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor for walks and views, and the pretty fishing villages of the south coast for ice creams and restaurants. Our nearest beach is Crackington Haven on the north coast, approximately a 25 minute drive. Launceston is 5 miles away for supplies from the local shops and the usual supermarkets. Being a very rural area there is little in the way of public transport - a sparse bus service to Launceston and Bude, and a local taxi firm so a car is a must. Guest access Guests can access our garden and also make use of our washer / dryer.
