Stonemasons Barn

The Stonemason’s Barn was once used as an animal store and was renovated by the local stonemason. It's full of quirky features and has some unusual stone decorations on the outside. Suitable for a romantic couples hideaway, it's a perfect rustic & cosy barn with oodles of character! The Stonemason's Barn has a private garden area, patio & garden furniture. It also has it's own designated parking space and access to the shared swimming pool and terrace. Not suitable for children. The space Enter through a laurel archway, and discover your private garden and Stonemason’s Barn, which was once used as an animal store and was renovated by the local stonemason. It's full of quirky features and has some unusual stone decorations on the outside. The Barn sleeps 2 adults and is a perfect little hideaway with a rustic, cosy feel and lots of character! Stonemason's Barn has it's own garden and patio with garden furniture for al fresco dining . Also a 'bistro' spot beyond the French doors from the living room where you can have a coffee (or a Pineau!) with a view over the pool and the terrace. The Barn also has it's own designated parking space, and access to the shared swimming pool and grounds Downstairs, the rustic kitchen has everything you will need with a gas oven and hob, fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine and microwave. There is also a large shower room and loo. The cosy lounge/diner has a wood burning stove, dining table for four people and the French doors open to enjoy the warm summer evenings. You can relax and watch the large flat screen TV, curl up with a book from our collection, or listen to your favourite music on the docking station. Upstairs you will find a large, beamed bedroom with skylight and French doors opening to a Juliet balcony. There is a double bed and a single bed with additional trundle bed beneath, and plenty of clothes storage. This gite is for 18 and overs only. All sockets are 3-pin British, so there is no need to bring loads of adaptors with you. A welcome basket with tea, coffee and essentials will be waiting for you on arrival, with our pleasure. Guest access The swimming pool and terrace are shared with guests from Tobacco Barn, our other gite and/or ourselves. Stonemasons Barn has it's own private garden and another outside seating area overlooking the pool area. Other things to note Stonemason's Barn is a 300 year old building. It isn't a modern, purpose built hotel, the walls in the Barn are stone and the beams are genuine, but it a beautiful, rustic, lovely and authentic building. Your comfort and well-being is our wish and we aim to deliver this with as many modern flairs as we can! Please remove all your rubbish and recycling from the Barn when you leave, using the bins outside the property for rubbish and the recycling bins in the centre of the village. We thank you in advance for stripping the beds and leaving all linens, towels, bedding etc on the ground floor near the door. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept pets. Smoking is not permitted in any of the gites or grounds, nor around the pool and terrace. Please step outside the boundary if you wish to smoke. There is a 150 euro fine for each time a visitor is caught smoking within our boundary. Please leave our Barn as you found it in terms of cleanliness and tidiness. We greatly appreciate your respect.
