Chippenham station is 6 miles from the property and there is a direct line to London Paddington.Stonehenge,Bath Spa,Avebury and Badminton - famous for the Horse Trials are all within the immediate area. The charming dining room in Fosse Farmhouse B&B next door is fully licensed and offers toasted sandwiches for a simple evening snack and freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam are served in the garden throughout the summer. We can also offer a Full English Breakfast served in the adjacent Farmhouse B&B by advance reservation at £15.00 per person. Children and babies welcome. The Dovecote sleeps 2 plus 2. We are located only one and a half hours from London in the North Cotswolds area of outstanding natural beauty. Bath and Bristol are 20 minutes by car. Other things to note There are no shops in the village so it is best to stop on the way and get some provisions. Chippenham town centre has all the major supermarkets and that is 6 miles from the proprerty. For local food supplies you will need to visit Allington Farm Shop which sells all local produce from Chippenham and the surrounding area. There are two pubs in Castle Combe which are within walking distance 'The Castle Inn' and 'The White Hart'. The nearest takeaway is in Chippenham however many do not deliver to the villages - you will have to go and collect it.
