Stonehill Retreat is a private two bedroom luxury retreat located in the Yarra Valley. We are situated only 5 minutes from St Andrews and Hurstbridge townships, and 20 minutes from Yarra Glen. Located in a secluded setting with bush mountain views and only a 50 minute drive from Melbourne CBD and Airport, we are perfect for a country getaway The space Stonehill Retreat is a unique luxury two bedroom studio, set on 20 acres of private bushland, just five minutes drive from St Andrews. The premises boasts floor to ceiling windows in each bedroom and lounge area, with stained customised glass throughout, allowing immersion in the beautiful surrounding garden and bush land. Magnificent stained glass window panels designed by local St Andrews artist Rob Haley are an amazing welcoming feature as you first drive into the private garage to the building. A warm and inviting open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area overlooks the natural bushland and property dams. An abundance of wildlife grace the property daily including Kangaroo's, Kookaburra's, Echidna's, Wombat's, Wild Deer and many native birds. If you are lucky there is opportunity to hand feed the King Parrot's! There is a large smart TV for your viewing of the comprehensive DVD collection and Free Wifi. The lounge has a large Jetmaster fire place that is wonderful to relax in front of with a glass of wine. All rooms are equiped with split system heating and cooling. A central bathroom with all linen, towels, bathrobes and toiletries provided. The main bedroom is equipped with a kings size bed and large wall to wall bookcase filled with reading material and comprehensive DVD collection. The second bedroom is spacious and fitted with a Queen size bed. The kitchen is fully equipped for you to cook from the complimentary breakfast hamper provided at your leisure, or if the mood takes you, a visit to the colourful St Andrews Market on a Saturday (open from 6am to 2pm) can provide you with an abundance of flavours including Free Range and Organic produce . There is outdoor seating overlooking the dams and bushland in which to enjoy the warmer months and also a bbq on site. A table tennis table is onsite in the retreats private garage for your enjoyment! The owners Blaise and Jacqui have a separate house on the property, where there is a fenced in ground solar heated saltwater swimming pool that can be arranged for use during January to February. They are also available if you want any help or advise on your holiday. We have 1 security camera at the gated entrance to the property. 1 security camera at the entrance to the retreats garage, 1 camera inside the retreats garage and 2 camera's at the eternal entrance doors to the retreat. All of these camera's are external and will be turned on during your stay. Guest access Guests can have access to a shared saltwater swimming pool from 1st January to 28th February by arrangement between the hours of 11am and 6pm. Guests are welcome to wonder through the gardens and bushland around the property in the retreat area. Other things to note My husband Blaise and I have a background in the services industry, having successfully run our own commercial cleaning business for the last 25 years. We are committed to providing our guests with the highest level of cleaning, when they stay at our property, this is reflected in our 5 star cleaning rate. Due to the coronavirus outbreak additional measures are being taken to fully sanitise the retreat before each guest arrives.
