Nestled in the peaceful pines of the historic Upper Canyon, you will be surrounded by all of nature's beauty and wildlife. Elk, deer, wild horses and birds of prey abound. It's a hiker's paradise! This Fabulous Cabin is just minutes from Midtown where eateries, adventure rides, parks and boutique shops abound. If you like the ponies, Ruidoso Downs Race Track is just down the road as well as some award-winning golf courses. We are also EV friendly! Can't wait to see you enjoying your stay! The steps leading up to the Fabulous Cabin have a landing in the middle to ease your short climb. On the spacious deck you will find the barbecue grill, a picnic table and various chairs to watch the critters! On the main floor is the dining room, kitchen, fireplace and TV viewing area. Also on the 1st floor are two bedrooms with queen beds, a bathroom and the laundry area. The spiral staircase takes you up to the second floor loft that has a reading area and a trundle bed. In the hallway leading to the master bedroom (with a king bed and work space) is another bathroom and a great closet full of games! There is parking for three cars; two in the front and one on the hill in the back of the Fabulous Cabin.They are all marked with our cabin number - 103. Anytime from November 1st until April 1st it is advisable to have all-wheel drive vehicles or chains for your vehicles. We do get snow and sometimes freezing rain. We have a local management team, ready to assist you with any problems. Most unfortunately due to recent negative experiences, we are no longer allowing pets. The Upper Canyon in Ruidoso, which shelters most of the original cabins, is one of the most sought after vacation spots in NM. Abundant wildlife, Pines, and the sounds of the little Rio Ruidoso River, can only be described as magical! Excellent for walking the pup, hiking and bird watching. With restaurants, adventure or just being a tourist, our cabin in the hills makes it an ideal vacation retreat! While Ruidoso is a mountain town, our cabin is definitely in the hills. Snow is likely during the the winter months (Nov. - March) and chains and/or all-wheel-drive is highly recommended. Ruidoso laws prohibit feeding the wildlife. We would appreciate your respecting their wishes. Remember, we are EV friendly! The charging station is on the right side of the cabin. Please let us know if you will be driving an EV so that we can supply an adapter if you are not bringing your own. The wood for the fireplace is stacked outside next to the cabin stairs.
