Hammarbybacken is a landmark in Stockholm and a very popular weekend destination for many Stockholmers during the winter months. Near the Ericsson Globe Arena, the slopes are easy to reach on the Green Line metro toward Bagarmossen. There are four easy-to-ski downhill slopes, a snowboard park, ski school, equipment rental, and a café. You can also chose to take the, free of charge, boat from Hammarbysjöstad to Söder (2 minutes by boat). You will within 5 to 10 minutes walking reach the central parts of Södermalm.
