Guest suite in East Sussex

We are Graham and Shizuka, our two daughters and our sociable Persian cat Saffy. We are offering a comfortable double room with its own entrance in our detached house in a quiet road on the outskirts of Lewes. There is parking in our driveway. 5 minutes walk north or south from the house takes you out onto the Downs yet the town centre is just 20 minutes away. The space The room has a standard double bed, table and chairs. There is also a laptop table. It is equipped with a mini fridge and kettle. Tea/coffee/milk etc will be there for you on arrival. For now guests can't use the kitchen but a tray breakfast - bread, cereal, juice, a French press of fresh coffee and yoghurt - is included. The private en suite bathroom has wash basin, toilet and shower. Please note there is no TV in the room but our wifi is normally more than adequate for TV or other streaming on personal devices. Guest access There is parking in our driveway although the entrance from the road is quite steep so it may not suit long vehicles or those with low ground clearance. (March 2025 update: I wrote that last sentence four years ago and since then we must have had well over 300 guests with cars and the steep access has only been an issue a couple of times!) Otherwise there is free parking on the road - which is quiet and for access only. You have your own path to the room and we don't use the access path when we have guests so you'll have privacy and you won't have people walking past the door. However, I should emphasise that the access path is narrow and has a step down at the back corner of the house so access may be difficult for those with limited mobility. Other things to note To summarise some potential issues: Access path is narrow and with a step so the listing is not suitable for those with limited mobility. If you have bulky luggage, let me know and we'll help you to access through our front door. There's no TV in the room but good wifi. There's no microwave or kitchen access but a tray breakfast is included, and the room has a kettle, coffee/tea and a mini fridge.
