Welcome! This is a room for one female guest. It is intended for guests visiting NYC for a temporary internship or other fixed-term assignment. Past guests have included medical students, fellows, researchers, & academics. Verification from the sponsoring organization, including assignment dates, and of a primary residence elsewhere is required prior to booking. Remote work arrangements are not permitted. The space Located in vibrant Washington Heights, this third-floor brownstone walk-up (no elevator) is surrounded by restaurants, markets, and food stores. I am the owner and only live here part-time, so you will frequently have the apartment to yourself. The A express train is on the corner, providing quick access to the city—approximately 20 minutes to Columbus Circle, 25 minutes to Midtown, and 35–40 minutes to Lower Manhattan. This bright, recently renovated 2 BR apartment features hardwood floors, 9-foot ceilings, a full wall of windows, an in-unit washer/dryer, window A/C units, ceiling fans, and excellent WiFi. The bedrooms are located on opposite sides of the apartment, providing a high degree of privacy. The guest room includes a full-size bed, desk, dresser, accent chair, A/C, ceiling fan, and large closet. When I am in the apartment, I generally spend most of my time in my own room, giving guests their privacy, but I am happy to answer questions or help if needed. As a lifelong New Yorker, I am always happy to share recommendations and help guests navigate the city. Double-set soundproof windows help reduce street noise, although some traffic noise may still be noticeable during rush hour due to the apartment's proximity to the George Washington Bridge. Guest access Full access for one guest to the bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom, washer and dryer. During your stay I'm very attentive to my guests and always 100% available by phone if you need anything. When I'm home, I mostly keep to myself to respect your privacy. That said, I'm a lifelong New Yorker and happy to share local tips or suggestions if you're interested! Other things to note I am most comfortable sharing my space with another female (she/her). SUPER easy commute around the city as the A express train is directly on the corner. Only 30 minutes to midtown Manhattan, 20 minutes to Columbus Circle.
