Description
Quiet & relaxing, perfectly positioned for exploring the Heritage coast (and with an eclectic book collection!) "The cottage has been everything we could possibly have wanted in a holiday retreat - warm, comfortable, divinely pretty and romantic!" The space Welcome to Mill End From May to the end of August our aim is to let weekly Friday to Friday, short breaks will be considered at short notice if we have no weekly bookings. From September to the end of April any booking will be welcomed subject to our minimum of three nights. Please note we have seasonal pricing so make sure you have entered the dates you want to stay to get the right cost Upstairs is the large, light, south facing bedroom with king size bed, armchairs and a coffee table. There is a TV with DVD player and a selection of DVDs. The bathroom is adjacent with a bath and a shower. Downstairs is the newly fully fitted kitchen/living/dining room with TV. It is a small room but sunny in summer and cosy in winter. There is a sofa bed for the occasional guest(s). (£15 for linen or bring your own) The kitchen has an oven, microwave and a 4 ring hob with cover which acts as a splashback when open. There is also a larder fridge, a freezer, a toaster and, of course, a kettle. There is a downstairs WC. The cottage has oil fired central heating. Immediately outside is a south facing terrace with a large table and an electric awning. If you have friends/family in the area you can entertain up to 10. The awning can act as a sunshade or an umbrella so even if it is drizzling it is still possible to be outside. It's an extra room! There is parking for one car. You have an exclusive private garden area - south-west facing, with a table and chairs and 2 "rocking loungers" ideal for relaxing and sunbathing - see picture. The whole garden, of which this is part, is designed mainly for wildlife - shrubs, trees and many scented hip bearing roses. Guest access The accommodation is self contained but there are some quite steep stairs to the bedroom and bathroom which might not be suitable for those with restricted mobility, Other things to note As you would expect we provide bed linen and towels. There are herbs you can pick in the garden. We provide condiments, tea and coffee and cleaning materials. There are two doors (as in double thickness) separating the end cottage from the rest of the house and upstairs there is a store room next to the bedroom so noise intrusion from the rest of the house is not a problem. For the most part our guests appreciate how quiet it is but occasionally we have a problem on Sundays. Between 10am to 3pm on Sundays there is a motocross track about half a mile away. If the wind is in the wrong direction then it can be surprisingly and irritatingly loud in the garden. Our advice is to either go out or stay indoors! Some Sundays you wouldn't know it was there. We haven't had any complaints to date but it is only fair to warn you.
