Description
Solas at The Pot Of Gold is situated in the heart of Beaufort village, 10 km from Killarney town. As the village is located in the foothills of MacGillycuddy's Reeks and a stone’s throw from the River Laune, our newly refurbished cottage has so much of what Kerry has to offer on its doorstep. There is something in this unique place for everyone. So, whether you are hiking or climbing or just standing still, Solas is an ideal base in which to begin and end your day. The space The Pot of Gold first opened its doors as a B&B in 1966. It has introduced many visitors to country living throughout its long and varied history. Our cherished B&B has now been modernized for the next generation of guests. Renovated to our exacting standards, it provides two easily accessible, inviting and elegantly decorated self-catering accommodations. Solas is a three-bedroom retreat with an open-plan kitchen-dining-sitting area, a sun lounge and a shower room. Its well-equipped kitchen, spacious bedrooms and comfortable furniture make it a refuge of calm in an environment immersed in nature. We have also combined vintage pieces and distinctive artwork to help create a peaceful atmosphere for your well-being. The sitting area, where you can unwind after the day's explorations, has Wi-Fi, a TV, books and board games for you to enjoy. Two bedrooms are en suite and sleep five guests. The third bedroom sleeps two guests. We supply high quality towels and bed linen along with hair dryers. You can see Purple Mountain, Strickeen Mountain and the Gap of Dunloe from the south-facing windows. Just a brief walk from the local restaurant, pub and shop, the cottage is private and set back from the country road that runs through the village. It has ample parking space and a front garden. There is a storage shed in the backyard, with a water hose, a line to hang rain gear and wetsuits, and enough room to stow hiking boots, bicycles and sundry equipment.
