Guardian's Cottage with private heated pool

The Guardian’s Cottage is a recently refurbished luxurious cottage with a private heated salt water pool. It is fully equipped with all modern facilities. Set in 22 acres of meadows and woods and is bordered on three sides by a gentle river. The cottage is rural but very near to two villages with all amenities. There are local markets, loads of nearby attractions and superb restaurants. This is an excellent area to totally relax and experience the pleasures of the Dordogne. The space The Guardian’s Cottage features two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and all modern facilities. Sleeping between four and six it is suitable for a family or a group of friends. The front door leads into a light and spacious open plan dining and sitting room, with large patio doors leading to the private terrace and garden. Stone walls have been exposed revealing original candle recesses and oak beams used in the construction of the cottage. Modern comfy sofas and restored furniture from the region compliment each other to create a relaxing living area. Full WiFi, an ipod/mp3 docking station, numerous board games and Satellite TV with a DVD player are provided. The modern kitchen has views to the river and is equipped with oven, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and plenty of work surfaces if you would like to try preparing some of the local dishes. The private pool is salt water which is much more gentle to skin, eyes and the environment and they are heated to a very comfortable 27C, so whatever the weather, you can still enjoy a swim without the shivers. And being private, it is much more comfortable and clean without the noise associated with a shared pool. This is a large Gite (120 sq meters) with only one small step, providing a child friendly environment. Guest access The cottage is set in 22 acres of meadow and woodland, bordered on three side by a gentle river. Guests are free to wander, feed the chickens, ducks, piglets and sheep. Other things to note Each cottage has a private garden, with a private heated salt water pool. There is independent parking for each house. In July and August we have a fixed Saturday changeover, and bookings are taken weekly.
