The house is a rustic family home located in the beautiful Gondomar valley in Pontevedra with wide views and a garden. Exterior rooms. The space I am a language teacher and work with national and international students. I am passionate about learning about new cultures, teaching our Spanish language and raising awareness of our cultural diversity. We organize cultural tours and an introductory tour of the Portuguese Camino de Santiago for guests interested in learning about history. My husband is a food lover and gives cooking workshops to guests interested in learning about traditional Spanish dishes. (Very reasonable prices for classes, excursions and optional activities). We live in a beautiful valley called Gondomar in the province of Pontevedra, very close to the best beaches in Baiona and Nigrán and 15 km from the city of Vigo. We are also just 15 km from the border with Portugal (Valença do Minho). Our house has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a large garden with beautiful views of the valley. We would define ourselves as open-minded, very receptive and willing to teach and learn. Our experiences with international guests have always been wonderful and very enriching. Important: The accommodation is only for foreigners who want to learn about the culture, language and gastronomy. Those who do not meet this requirement should refrain. International high school, baccalaureate, or university students are also welcome to live an authentic intercultural experience. We are very close to the University of Vigo campus. Very convenient to get to the beaches in the area and the university and the city of Vigo. Important: Breakfast and light dinner will be served and arranged in the common area of the kitchen. Smokers, strangers, and alcoholic beverages will not be allowed inside the property. No food or drinks in the bedrooms. During your stay We will be available to guests throughout their stay. Other things to note In our area there are many possibilities for beach sports (surfing, paddle surfing, sailing boat), playing tennis, hiking and biking. The city of Vigo offers theaters, concerts, cinema, excellent cuisine and lots of life in its streets and shops. Additionally, we organize language stays (Homestay Full-board + High School in Spain) for international students (teenagers aged 15 - 18) or university students who wish to come to Spain to learn Spanish and live an authentic intercultural experience in the home of a host family while studying at a local school or university. Adults or international teachers who want to come and perfect the Spanish language will also be welcome.
