Perfect for weekend breaks. The space This recently renovated home used to be a grocery shop like so many of the other houses on Main Street Ballydehob. It was originally rented by my family for decades before it was finally purchased from the Landlord circa 1945. The shop front was changed to a house front in 1988 when grants were given by the government to upgrade houses in rural Ireland. We have now open planned the downstairs to give it that old shop feel. The new kitchen is where the old counter of the shop was. All the work on the house was done by local tradesmen. The kitchen and the furniture are all hand made by Alistair Coughlan a talented local carpenter. Derek Whelton painter and decorators provide the sleek finish throughout the house and have restored the flooring upstairs to its former glory. Ken Magnier plastered the open planned downstairs and rear garden. Electrical system was provided by Alan Barry Electrician. Guest access Entire house to rent.
