The space Set within 160 acres of Caplor Farm near Fownhope, Silver Birch is a peaceful glamping pod for two in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside. With its pond, gentle waterfall and securely fenced garden, it offers a distinctive and tranquil setting for couples seeking a relaxing, pet-friendly escape in the Wye Valley. Inside, the cosy open-plan layout includes a comfortable double bed and private en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. The kitchenette has a fridge-freezer, hob, microwave, toaster and kettle, providing everything needed for simple breakfasts, light meals and evening snacks. The welcoming interior offers a comfortable place to relax after walking, sightseeing or spending time in the fresh country air. Outside, Silver Birch invites you to unwind in nature. Enjoy the calming sound of the waterfall, relax with a morning coffee on the decking or share an alfresco meal at the outdoor seating. A barbecue and firepit are provided for outdoor cooking and cosy evenings beneath the stars. Secure fencing gives added reassurance for guests travelling with dogs, although dogs should always be supervised around the pond. The renowned Wye Valley Walk passes directly through Caplor Farm, so scenic countryside walks begin on the doorstep. The River Wye is nearby, while Fownhope, picturesque villages, traditional country pubs and local attractions are within easy reach. Free on-site parking is provided, and path lighting helps guide guests after dark. Silver Birch welcomes up to two well-behaved dogs. Dogs must be kept on leads around the wider working farm, not left unattended or allowed on soft furnishings, and owners are asked to clean up after them. There is no Wi-Fi in the pod, making this a lovely place to disconnect and enjoy a slower pace. Choose Silver Birch for its secluded atmosphere, secure garden, pond and soothing waterfall sounds. It is a characterful countryside hideaway where couples can relax, reconnect and discover the Wye Valley. Guest access Guest access to the glamping pods is on foot. We kindly ask that you don’t drive on the grass in front of the pods or block the lane to the left. Parking is available just behind the pods for your convenience. For everyone’s safety, please don’t feed the horses (we know it’s tempting, but it can be harmful). We also ask that dogs are kept on leads and that you pick up after them. Please be mindful of our residents, the farm is their home - do not disturb them. If you’re bringing an electric vehicle, there is a Rolec 7kW 32amp EV charger located in the hard-standing car park just behind the pods. There is a fee to use it. Other things to note Situated in their own private orchard, these luxury hand built pods are ideal for a romantic getaway, keen ramblers and those who just want to unwind from their busy lifestyle. The Wye River is a short walk or drive away and the farm is part of the Wye Valley Walk. The nearest shop is in the village of Fownhope 1.5 mile away. There is currently no WiFi available but there is a very good 4G network on the farm. There is currently no TV in this property - we are looking at making the additions of Smart TVs throughout 2026.
