Come and enjoy the calm and nature 5 minutes from Pierrefonds and 1 hour 15 minutes from Paris, in our newly equipped stone house. Walking, cycling or discovering the cultural and historical heritage: these are the activities that await you during your stay. The space Stone house, nature and heritage a stone's throw from Pierrefonds! Our house is nestled in the peaceful town of Saint-Etienne Roilaye, consisting of a main building and its outbuilding. Built according to the typical architecture of the region, with their hipped roofs, these two separate houses have been carefully renovated and can accommodate up to 6 people (4 in the main building and 2 in the outbuilding). The main building consists of a living room with decorative fireplace and sofa bed, equipped kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor. Upstairs, a large bedroom with a 160 x 200 bed. The bedding is new and of quality. In the outbuilding, you can relax in the lounge area, listen to music, read a book or enjoy a games table. You also have a bathroom with toilet and sink. The mezzanine sleeps two people, with a 140 x 200 bed. Here too, the bedding is new. On request, we can provide you with a high chair and crib. Linens and towels are provided. Wi-Fi access is free. Internet access via fiber optics. The landscaped garden offers a wide variety of flowers and plants. Let yourself be lulled by the lapping of the water flowing into the pool: relaxation guaranteed! Finally, you can park your car in the garage. We have equipped our house to make it feel like home! Five minutes from Pierrefonds, on the edge of the Compiègne forest, you will enjoy a quiet environment conducive to walking or cycling. The peaceful roads that crisscross the surrounding countryside make this corner of greenery an ideal setting for cycling enthusiasts. Many trails run through the forest and are also a great playground for mountain bikers. Feel free to come with your bike! You can store it in a closed room equipped with a repair kit: work stand, foot pump, tools, patches... For quieter family outings, the bike path that crosses the forest allows you to get to Compiègne safely. Two mountain bikes and a tandem are available. The region also offers a very wide variety of sites to discover: the Château de Pierrefonds, of course; the Palace and the Imperial Theatre of Compiègne (15 minutes away), but also many charming villages (Saint-Jean-aux-Bois, Vieux-Moulin...). Why not stop for a picnic? A land of memory, the surrounding countryside also contains many reminders of the First World War: a rear-front village during the conflict, Saint-Etienne Roilaye is about fifteen minutes from the Rethondes Armistice clearing. You will also enjoy the many circuits integrated into the Territoire 14-18 Museum, to discover by car, bike or on foot. For the adventurous, young and old, the tree climbing of the Etangs de Saint Pierre (5 minutes away) will satisfy you, unless you prefer to take a little pedal boat ride on the Pierrefonds pond...
