Elegant Riad in historic Essaouira

Generous light filled riad in the historic medina of Essaouira. sleeps six in three bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. Breakfast and daily maid included. Five minutes to the beach. £80-£120 per night for the rental of entire house, dep on season The space Light and airy home in the ancient medina close to the beach in the artists' colony and UNESCO town of Essaouira, close to the beach (5 mins walk) as well as restaurants and shops . The house is furnished in a fusion of sumptious Moroccan style and western comfort. There are two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom, all with ensuite bathrooms. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom in traditional Tadellakt with bath and overhead shower, a basin and WC as well as a small dressing room ensuite to that. Two further bathrooms, ensuite to their respective bedrooms, are tiled with showers, basins and WC. All have fluffy bathrobes, towels and hairdryers for the use of guests as well as crisp white Egyptian bedlinen, blankets, hot water bottles and electric heating for those occasions when it gets chilly at night. There are two reception rooms, one with a dining area, and two roof terraces, one with an outdoor dining area and one with loungers for the sun worshippers. We have a Smart TV and plenty of books and games for our guests' entertainment and there is WiFi in the house. Two separate WCs, an outdoor shower to cool off, a small utility room and, of course, a simple but fully equipped kitchen ( no dishwasher) with a Nespresso machine complete the picture. NB. The house is not child-proofed to a conventional European or American standard and small children should be supervised at all times. There is no cot (although one might be borrowed from another riad) , no changing table, no high chair and no baby alarm. There is also a steep stone staircase, so the house is not suitable for anyone unsteady on their legs, young or old. The rental price is for the entire house which can sleep up to six people plus a small child but is equally comfortable for smaller groups or just a couple. Our housekeeper is an excellent cook and happy to provide lunch or evening meals at very reasonable rates. She also comes in to make a delicious fresh breakfast every morning and then tidies/cleans the house as part of the rental and included in the price. Rental rates start at £90 per night for the entire house, including breakfast and minimum booking is for two nights. Essaouira is a small historic town with a working port and a wonderfully long beach, about 2.5 hours by car from Marrakech or Agadir. It has a charming and authentic boho vibe with plenty of good cafes and restaurants to suit all budgets, a lively souk, several lovely hammams, a great vegetable and fruit market and fresh fish stalls by the port. The beach is the perfect place to chill out and relax or, for the more active, to wind or kite surf, camel or horse ride or quadbike through the dunes. Guest access The entire house is accessible to guests. Other things to note All prices include breakfast and daily maid service. Please note that a tourist tax of MAD15 per guest per night is payable to our house manager on registration. Children under 12 are exempt.
