This private 4 bedroom/4 bathroom home is located in the prestiges neighborhood of Joatinga. This is considered the Beverly Hills of Rio de Janeiro. It is a gated, 24 hour security neighborhood with it's own beach. This home has a new pool and barbecue area. The kitchen has everything you need. All appliances are imported from the US. You will sleep well in high quality cotton sheets and enjoy the plush comfort of imported towels. Come live like a Carioca in this beautiful home. The space The house sits on the side of the mountain in the jungle where you will live harmoniously in nature with the monkeys, toucans and other rain forest life. Your view will be of the very famous Pedra da Gavea mountain. Quite spectacular! All this within a few minutes of our small town. The house was build by the famous Brazilian Architect Zanini who was ahead of his time using mainly recycled demolition wood and other materials. Most of the furniture and furnishings were all imported from Bali, India and other parts of Asia. You will feel like you have stepped into a tropical paradise retreat. The Entrance level- Living room, dinning room, bathroom, kitchen, laundry facilities(washer currently not working),Verandah, out side Barbecue area, large deck for entertaining, pool and a garage(no parking available. Only street parking) The Second Level- #1 bedroom suite with king size American bed(2-people)has A/C and ceiling fan, Flat screen TV. #2 bedroom 2 Single beds (2 people) ceiling fan(shared bathroom) #3 bedroom 1 Queen size bed (2 people)A/C, Ceiling Fan (shared bathroom) #4 bedroom suite with Queen size bed (2 people) A/C, ceiling fan and TV. Small living room The Third Level- Large open family room space with antique Daybed, bathroom with sink and toilet. (day bed can sleeps 2 people as it is a queen mattress). Sorry, TV is no longer working in this area. We are working on it. The house has A/C in most of the bedrooms and ceiling fans in most places as well. Wireless internet through out the house There are many windows and lots of light TV's located in bedroom #1, bedroom #4, kitchen. The house is simple and rustic, yet has everything you will need to feel at home. It is a truly special place! Guest access All Guest have access to Joatinga beach. The Beach is known as a surfers beach because of the great waves, but also fine for swimming and play. Depending on the time of the year there can be little to no sand but this is usually in our winter months and short lived. Also you should be in pretty good shape to get to this beach. Although it has a clear paved path it is down the side of a rock mountain. If you are older, in less shape or disabled I like to let you Know. Other things to note We also provide twice a week cleaning by our house keeper(Wednesday & Saturday)except holidays and other occasions. Our care taker will clean the outside and maintain the pool most everyday(around 4pm)except Sundays, holidays and other occasion. Any additional cooking, grocery shopping, and extra services can be arranged for a small additional charge directly to our house keeper/ cook. To note, Currently the clothes Washing Machine is NOT working. The dryer is fine. You can hand wash and then dry or take to a local laundry facility. We do not allow any parties in the house! We require all overnight guest register with full name and documents before arrival.
