Built by Ananda Kamaragoda a veteran tea planter & his wife Sharmini, in keeping with the colonial architecture & representing the same style & prestige, The Bungalow warmly beckons the traveler who is looking to enjoy the unique life style of an upcountry Tea Planter The space "The Moray Suite", The Room we are Offering our Guests is named after the Moray Estate Maskeliya where the Kamaragoda family lived between 1989 & 1991 has a magnificent view looking out across the historic Danthure - Gannoruwa valley comprises of a spacious bed room with air condition & ceiling fan, warm & luxurious king sized four poster bed overlaid with oxford, house wife pillows, cushions & warm blanket/duvet & cocooned with a Victorian lace frilled canopy of soft white net, accompanied by a bed side lamp casting a golden glow. the room further provides a beautiful antique dressing table & writing desk, sitting area, tea coffee service & a closet filed with fragrance of lavender. The suite consists of a separate dressing room complete with antique cloth horse & shoe rack all being collectors items from a by gone era. The attached wash room with its lingering fragrance of lavender & cinnamon is another of the very special planters life style colonial experience, yet equipped with all modern facilities of hot & cold mixer taps, luxury rain water shower cubicle, Victorian basin, seat, bath robes & disposable soft shippers making you want to hang around more than you really need to. Guest access Guests will have access to: The Morning room, Living area, Dining area, The Garden and Terrace. During your stay We live on this property and love hosting guests at our bungalow, which has been a Tradition of over 100 years in our family. As Your hosts We will available to ensure that your every whim is catered to and ensure your stay is comfortable. Other things to note Meals - Here you will have your breakfast in the sun decked terrace or in the elegantly furnished dining room with polished antique silver ware and elegant bone china of a bygone era. Lunch would have to be purchased from outside, but dinner could be provided on request for which an additional charge would be added. We are a family of Canine Lovers and we have 8 Canines coming down from the Boarder Collies living with us on the premises, They are very intelligent , well behaved and lovable and are treated as Part of our Family. However they will not be in direct contact with the Guests unless the Guests wish to move with them and have their own living area which is off limits to Guests.
