Our cosy 18th Century beamed cottage is set in a little village in Bolton, on the edge of the West Pennine Moors, open views at the rear, with a Local pub, church and football club, the village is a highly desirable, safe area.Tesco Express is 5 mins by car and just 3 mins by car is the train station to Manchester (20 mins) and Bolton (5 mins) Macron Stadium(3 mins) The market town of Westhoughton is a mile away with a bus stop nearby, the beauty of the countryside, within easy reach of the City The space We have two small cosy double rooms available (altogether we can accommodate 4 people - see additional listing if there’s more than two of you - message if unsure ) A basic breakfast SELF CATERING, of toast/cereal with tea or coffee is included - A full English breakfast from my local butcher is available at £7.95 a head, evening meal also available from £10 per head (all home cooked) please advise at time of booking if required ABSOLUTELY NO COOKING ALLOWED AT ANY TIME OF DAY Our place is ideal for anyone working or studying in Manchester or Bolton, the train station is 10 mins walk (3 mins car) which takes just 20 mins to Manchester City centre and 5 mins to Bolton town centre, we are also 5 mins away from Jct 5 on the M61, so as a base for working in the NW its ideal. The beautiful West Pennine moors are just a 10 min drive, with the delights of Rivington and its village and coffee shops, ideal for walkers, cyclists ( our place is on the route for the annual Iron Man competition) Our little village has a friendly local pub, along with an AFC with Saturday afternoon matches and bar with food , there's our local church too. Tesco Express is just 3 mins by car The local market town of Westhoughton with its lovely independent shops, coffee shops, eateries, micro breweries with live music and a Wetherspoons is just 5 mins by car, (or £3.50 in a taxi) there is also a bus stop outside. The Macron Stadium (Bolton Wanderers) is just 3 mins on the train as is Bolton Arena and The Middlebrook Retail and Leisure Park, with shops cinema, bowling and much more) We have a local municipal golf course just 3 mins by car and a tennis club too. Bolton Golf Club is 5 mins by car and David Lloyd gym is about 10 mins As you can see, we seem to have a little of everything. Our location we believe is second to non. If you have had a busy day, the calm of the village is ideal, or if you want something more lively, its not far away, with excellent transport links We have two small dogs one small well behaved dog is allowed at one time, please bring bedding (must share your space) Walkers, I have a small drying room/boot rack Guest access PLEASE READ HOUSE MANUAL BEFORE BOOKING - thank you Guests have access to the rooms below only Dining room (breakfast) Kitchen ( use of kitchen is for self catering breakfast- tea or coffee/toast/cereal please clean up- absolutely no cooking at any time of day) Bathroom SHARED please be mindful of leaving the toilet and shower how you wish to find it Bedroom No food upstairs Not suitable for children Please clean up after yourself- especially in the kitchen and bathroom Please be respectful of other guests using the same facilities No shoes to be worn upstairs Please take your shoes off and carry to your room Guests staying more than one night must vacate the premises between 11am - 4pm to allow for housekeeping Checkout is strictly 10am We are offering a cosy clean bedroom/bathroom and a simple breakfast, somewhere to safely get your head down - not a house share Thanks Jackie & Nat During your stay We are around most of the time Other things to note We have two small dogs They have access all areas except your bedroom
