The space Awarded 1st place in The Independent's '50 Best B&Bs' (UK), The Guesthouse East blends stylish, contemporary self catering facilities with 4* services such as delicious breakfasts (supplement applies), indulgent beauty treatments and laundry. Newly refurbished and run by friendly ex-travellers, this is a great base for exploring Eastbourne, the South Downs, a wealth of historic sites and for day trips to London by direct train. Relaxed and informal, this unique guest house is set in a beautiful Grade II listed Regency villa just a pebble’s throw from the beach and minutes from the bars, theatres, restaurants and attractions of Eastbourne. There are seven individually-styled rooms, each designed to the highest standards with spacious bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms – plus free WiFi, TV/DVD, fluffy towels, toiletries, hairdryer, complimentary teas, coffees and even sweets. Six of the suites also have their own private kitchens, giving travellers much more freedom than an average guesthouse. Each kitchen has a fridge with small freezer compartment, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and pots/pans. TRIPLE SUITE WITH KITCHEN This has two people in real beds (either set up as a kingsize or twins - tell us what you prefer) and the third person on a sofabed or futon, depending on which suite is available. 4* SERVICES With kitchens in most suites, you are well equipped to look after yourself. But if you’re in need of some TLC why not indulge yourself at breakfast with a home-cooked full English or Carl’s legendary porridge (supplement applies), or even kick back and relax with an on-site massage, facial or other pampering treatment (book in advance). And if your clothing is looking worse for wear, you can get a load of washing done. BABY FRIENDLY We can provide travel cot, high chair, bouncy chair, steriliser, baby bath and even toys & books - at no extra cost! Parking is on street and you can buy special permits from Carl and Sarah for just £1 per day. Guest access Guests are very welcome to use the dining room, with its large communal dining table, for even more space and the chance to play cards, enjoy a few games or just listen to music as you read and relax. During your stay Tony and Lisa live on site and are available to answer questions. Other things to note Please contact us a day or so before you arrive to confirm timings - that way we can ensure someone is here to meet you or we can leave a key in the keysafe if you are arriving late.
