Lavender is a charming 2 bed, 1 large double & 1 twin with 2 single beds, pet friendly spacious cottage, with private garden Lavender is located a short 10 minute drive to both the A30 & A38, giving easy access to the North & South Coast of Cornwall The open plan layout on the ground floor is light & airy with a kitchen/diner & stylish & comfortable lounge area with a cosy wood burning stove. The 2 bedrooms on 1st floor are attractive and restful, with crisp cotton bedding & soft throws The space Lavender Cottage is part of 'Badgers' Sett Holiday Cottages', comprising of three pretty properties: Rosemary (dog friendly) which has one king-size bedroom accommodating up to two people, plus: Thyme Cottage - (no dogs) one kingsize bedroom & one twin, plus: Lavender Cottage - (dog friendly) one large double bedroom & one twin. One well behaved dog is very welcome in Lavender, we charge an additional £35 per dog, per stay, to cover any additional cleaning required. Both Thyme & Lavender Cottage accommodate up to four people per cottage. Lavender Cottage has it's own private garden with picnic bench, comfortable chairs, parasol and Weber BBQ - a sunny and relaxed area in which to wind down whilst enjoying lovely views out to the main one acre gardens. The gardens are surrounded by colourful borders and extensive lawn areas, with picnic benches, outdoor games (badminton, swing ball, football goal & more) and additional wooden seating. The kids can play safely in the 1 acre garden whilst parents enjoy a glass of something chilled in their cottage garden ! The 3 cottages can either be booked separately or as a whole, accommodating up to ten guests in total. We have found this flexibility attracts families and friends attending weddings and celebrations at local venues such as Trevenna, Boconnoc and The Green as they are all within a five mile radius of Badgers Sett Holiday Cottages. Other things to note We are incredibly lucky to have many types of visiting birdlife (including cheeky Woodpeckers & Nuthatches), many of our guests enjoy watching their antics on the bird feeders from the cottage gardens ! There is a great choice of pubs, restaurants & tearooms in the area to suit all tastes. The London Inn, located within our local award winning village of St Neot provides a friendly welcome, is dog friendly, has a large inglenook fire & a varied menu with delicious locally sourced food and a great choice of beers. St Neot also boasts a famous church with historic stained glass windows & fantastic village farm shop which includes a cafe - with a huge array of products, including locally produced cakes & pasties ! Our Welcome Book (which is generally left on the cottage kitchen table for guests to find easily on arrival) lists recommended local places to eat, drink and visit, plus our online Guide Book (located within the Arrival Guide section of this cottage listing) details additional recommended places of interest both local & further afield). The Cornish Mining World Heritage Area is close by in the village of Minions and parts of the TV series Poldark were filmed locally on the Moor, both are great locations for country walks and cycling with friends and family whilst taking in the atmospheric scenery.
