Family-friendly home, modest fees, and a real retreat - no wifi, no TV and you will need to know how to light wood stoves -no central heating . Built from local materials in the Normandy style, it has a kitchen/dining room, sitting room, three bedrooms (2 joined) and an enclosed front garden (safe for young children). Bakery 100 metres from the house! The cottage is just 8km from the unspoilt beaches of the Normandy coast. This house has evolved gradually, has not been modernised. The space There's a downstairs kitchen/dining room with original tiled floor. It was once a tiny cafe. There's a woodstove in the kitchen and sitting room, as well as lots of books and games for winter evenings. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, two of which are connected: perfect for families. The small sunny front garden is ideal for outdoor meals and for children to play. Guest access Entire house at your disposal. Please note the bedroom arrangements: One independent room with double bed, and two connected rooms - one has two single beds placed side by side and a third little room with two single beds. Other things to note There's no central heating, no wi-fi, no television - just like when it came to our French - English family 40 years ago. You will need to light and maintain wood stoves to heat the house - plenty of wood in the woodshed. We also provide two electric heaters. You can park one car behind the house - even two, with a nifty bit of steering. There's also a lockable storeroom for bicycles.
