Threshers Barn is a Grade 2 listed flint stone barn set within a courtyard with 5 other cottages, a games room and laundry. Threshers Barn sleeps 6 but the whole complex can sleep 21. There are 3 bedrooms with en-suites in the barn. The master bedroom and a further twin room are upstairs and a third double bedroom with en-suite shower room is downstairs. The downstairs beds are set as superking. Please ask if you need them as twin beds. The kitchen, dining room and living area are open plan. The space The Barn is very light and airy but retains original features such as turret type windows in the kitchen and old beams in its vaulted ceiling. It has access to an enclosed courtyard overlooking the fields where you may find the cows cows grazing and often deer can be seen too, along with badgers and foxes. Nestling in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty it is set on an organic farm of around 200 acres. Pets are welcome and there are numerous walks including a couple of long distance footpaths within the area. The Jurassic Coast - a World Heritage Coastline - is within 20 minutes drive and there are numerous old market towns and ancient villages to explore in the surrounding area. There are a couple of local pubs serving good food, one a mile away and the other - a gastro-pub with large garden with far-reaching views where you can enjoy a sun-downer. Both are dog friendly. Guest access Bakers Mill Holiday Cottages of which Threshers Barn is the largest are all set within the same courtyard. Parking for all is available with Threshers Barn parking being right outside the front of the barn. There are a couple of steps up onto the garden. Threshers Barn has its own private courtyard at the back with a picnic table and BBQ. Sunloungers are available from the Games room too. The Games room is available to all and has wifi access. There is a snooker, table tennis and darts, along with a toy box for small children and board games, books, maps etc. A laundry room with a drier and ironing facilities are adjacent the Games room to compliment the washing machines within the cottages. Other things to note We accept well behaved dogs in our cottages, for which there is a charge. We charge £25 for the first dog in a cottage and £20 for each additional dog in the same cottage. We also have an EV charger on site for which we make a charge of £40. A PIN will be sent to use this. This is a working farm so please be mindful of machinery moving about and do not venture into the farm buildings or on machinery as we can not be held responsible for accidents that happen if you go where you shouldn't be. Please, when passing through gates leave them as you find them.
