The Pod is equipped with everything you need for a few days break; double bed, en-suite shower room, sofa, table & small kitchen and wood fired Hot Tub The space Cwtch On A Hill Cwtch; Welsh for a cuddle or a hug describes our Pod perfectly. Set in a private location cuddled in our grounds on a hillside enjoying uninterrupted views across the valley towards the Black Mountains of Wales. The panoramic views can be enjoyed from the adjacent private hot tub, the seating to the front or the cosiness of inside the Pod. We are in a quiet area of Herefordshire and ideally suited to guests looking to switch off from the hustle and bustle of everyday life for a few days. The hot tub is situated immediately adjacent to the Pod and as we have only the one letting unit, offers a private and secluded location. Being wood-fired, the hot tub requires lighting before use (which we can do for you) and with no jets or lights means that you can sit back and enjoy the peaceful scenery, wildlife and amazing big starlit skies at night. Wildlife frequently seen include deer, buzzards, kites, rabbits, hedgehogs and bats many of which will wander in front of the Pod! Away from the Pod we have our own free-range chickens and sometimes our racehorses and ponies graze in the paddocks next to the Pod and they will always be grateful for attention! The Pod is a wonderfully organised, self-contained unit, accommodating double bed, en-suite shower room with toilet and sink, kitchen area and sofa. We provide all bed linen, towels, cutlery and crockery. There is a kettle, toaster, microwave, hob, saucepan, frying pan and utensils for your use. There are no shared facilities; should you need assistance with anything, we are usually around. Strictly no additional guests. £20 late departure fee beyond 10:30 Guest access The Pod is fully self contained, accessed via a stone pathway under a rustic archway. The hot-tub is in a totally private spot adjacent to The Pod, exclusively for your use. If we are available, we will be happy to light it prior to your arrival on the first night at a charge of £10 to cover the to-ing and fro-ing to keep an eye on the fire. Sufficient logs and kindling will be provided for the first heat, but if you are using further nights then additional logs will be required to be purchased. We recommend arriving in daylight as we are situated in a rural location with no street lights, limited road signage and phone signal. Directions are provided and these are required in order to find us as the Sat Nav will take you to our neighbour further down the road. The village shop and pub are just a mile away but we recommend a car unless you are keen walkers. Other things to note The Pod is in a very rural area with no street lights, lots of fields and large skies, perfect for getting away from it all snd relaxing from hectic lives. There is also limited mobile coverage and no wi-fi to help you immerse yourself in the escapism idyll. The owners live on site, away from the Pod, and there are a variety of animals that live within the grounds of the property including racehorses, ponies, dogs, chickens and cats. Detailed directions will be provided prior to your stay, which are required in order to find us due to limited road signage - please do not think you can rely on your phone due to very limited mobile and 4G signal! The Pod and hot tub are situated on a hillside; this does mean that it can get quite windy, and occasionally, if the winds are too strong, the hot tub will not be available for use (it is wood-fired meaning the fire may not burn effectively).
