Khmer House
Description
THE KHMER HOUSE is an open-plan structure built in the 1940s. It was saved from destruction at its former location, miles away from the property: delicately dismantled and faithfully restored at its present home. A traditional Cambodian wooden house on stilts, the structure has an open living area on the ground level and large, air-conditioned bedroom space with a modern bathroom on the second level. The space Tradition is combined with contemporary art, such as our stunning melted and sanded aluminium lamps and chairs by designer Quasar Khan. The bedroom is adorned with a major piece of art from Cambodian artist Lim Muy Theam, has a king-sized bed and an exquisite Art Deco wooden couch that can be converted into a bed
