Bring the whole family (+some) to our lovely lakehouse, for a relaxing getaway on Greers Ferry Lake. We're a kid/pet friendly home- clean but comfortable, so our guests can relax &fully embrace lake life (W/D, showers, dog towels, hose, &cleaning supplies are accessible for use after a fun filled day!). Walk to lake, 5 min drive to marinas. Full kitchen. Room to park your boat/lake toys. 1.25 acres, w firepit & tons of space to run, play,& visit! DVD/CD/video games/toys-something for everyone! 4 BR/2 bath home, with bedspace for 8, plus 3 more! You will enter through our dog room (don't be deterred- this is an extremely well loved comfy bonus room- for your pets!) We take retired couches and give them a meaningful existence in their final days: providing our furriest guests with inviting, soft places to curl up with a good bone or nap in a sunbeam! Toys and balls, towels, and poop bags are provided. As you continue in to the main part of the house, the space really opens up, with very tall ceilings and a fabulous view (when blinds are opened) of scenery and the lake through the trees. The living space is practically all window on one side, facing the acre+ back yard and beyond that, the lake. Sunrise is particularly beautiful, if you are an early riser! Our kitchen is stocked with lots of eating and cooking utinsels, and we have a lot of specialty (George Foreman grill, waffle maker, for example) items for you to pull out and use. (We havent even had the chance to use all of them, but you are more than welcome to fire them up!). We have an electric stove, full size oven, microwave, disposal, and dishwasher. Help yourself to anything you see in the kitchen. (We personally prefer to bring bottled water to drink, rather than tap, and you may find that to be the case for your family as well). There are 4 bedrooms: The Front Bedroom has a queen sized bed and good sized closet (most of it is free for guest use). There is also a blowup mattress located in that closet. The room is separated from the other bedrooms, and the guest bathroom is just across the hall. The Master Bedroom has a king bed and a private bathroom with a large shower. A dresser and built in shelves are available for use. A (long walk-through) closet (with doors on both ends) connects this room with the 3rd bedroom. The 3rd bedroom has 2 twin beds that are actually quite sturdy and comfortable for kids, teens, and even small/average sized adults. There is access to this 3rd bedroom through the closet mentioned above (great for keeping eyes on kiddos if you need to, but closing the closet doors creates total privacy if preferred), and through a regular door as well. The 4th bedroom is located off of the 3rd, and the only way to access it is through the 3rd bedroom. The door that separates them is an accordian style, lightweight one, offering visual privacy. There is a full sized bed and closet, where we stash some extra coats, a kids life jacket, some water shoes, and some other items we have gathered along the way. Feel free to borrow anything you may find useful! There is a lightweight futon located in the living room that you can move to another spot for sleeping (technically full sized, best suited for one person), and a loveseat also in the living room that is quite heavy and should stay in its current location folds out to a twin bed as well. We try to make sure there is a good supply of bodywash/shampoo/conditioner, toilet paper, etc., but if you do happen to run out, Dollar General is a quick 6 minute drive away. Guests are able to access every area inside the house, except one locked closet in the dog room. Outside shed, under the deck, and another storage room past the carport are also not for guest use. The carport has 2 spots. Parking is available anywhere in the driveway, except on Tuesday early morning when the trash runs. The driveway needs to be clear for the trash truck to drive and turn around in it, and we have to be clear by 7am. (Carport parked cars are fine). Boats, trailers, extra vehicles, etc. can also park in the flat areas in the front yard (please don't leave ruts though). `We live about an hour and a half away, but are available by phone for anything that comes up (either messaging through the app, or even better, by text - I have our phone numbers listed for you once you get inside the lakehouse). Cute family oriented neighborhood in front, with private lakefront feel in the back! Lots of dogs out and about. There is plenty of space for parking at our home, though some neighbors do have to street park. You'll need to drive just a few minutes to find a store. The neighborhood exits on to a highway, so please be safe and aware when coming and going, and keep your dogs on leash or very close to you when outside. We love our home, and live in/visit frequently. Because of that, you will see our personal items in some of the drawers/closets from time to time. If you see something you need/want, you are more than welcome to borrow it! (this includes literally everything except, perhaps, our toothbrush - haha. We ask that you check dates on consumables. We don't always make it up there between guests, and we don't ask our housekeeper to monitor food items). We love our little neighborhood and hope our guests feel included as a part of the community during their stay. We hope to continue to host with this same mindset- that our guests are part of our community and will pitch in by throwing out the milk that expires during their stay or picking up a piece of trash somebody accidentally drops on the trail down to the lake. This has been working quite well, for the most part! If there is something you see needing attention, or perhaps something about your stay that you just don't love, please communicate it to us!
