This peaceful, retreat-style escape is surrounded by trees and thoughtfully cosy interiors. The accomodation is elevated 578m above sea level with views of the established garden below and valley far beyond from the decked balcony. Guests enjoy private & leafy outdoor spaces, including a dedicated and leafy guest courtyard featuring a firepit, vintage outdoor bath, and wood-fired pizza oven. Optional pre-booked in-house services allow you to tailor your stay entirely by choice, if you so wish. Please Note- We are currently offering just 2 check-in days per week being Friday or Sunday -with the minimum 2 night stay required. The view unfolds subtly — shifting light, seasonal colour, and the occasional golden sunrise or evening glow. ⸻ 🧑‍🍳 Kitchen & Dining Fully equipped country-style kitchen with gas stove, oven, dishwasher, Italian espresso machine, and cooking essentials. Please enquire either in advance or when booking your stay for availability and pricing. ⸻ 🐶 Dog Guests Well-behaved dogs are very welcome by pre-approval. Guest outdoor areas are fully separate from the hosts’ small dog Enzo the senior pug. ———————- 🔐 Privacy & Property Layout Guest privacy is absolute. The property is a single building set into the side of a hill, consisting of two separate, entirely self-contained residences on different levels. Guests occupy the upper accomodation, accessed via a private leafy entrance then descending a few sandstone steps that lead to the accomodations front door. The hosts’ residence is located below, tucked further into the hillside. Prue & Mathieu live a quiet yet occupied mountain life and regularly work away and like to travel far and wide so they are not always about during guest stays however, make themselves contactable via the AIRBNB messages. There are no shared entrances, paths, or outdoor areas, and guests will not typically encounter the hosts during their stay. Interaction only occurs if assistance is requested or a pre-booked in-house service had been arranged…. Or occasionally run into their hosts outside the property, in which in this case they will be greeted with a friendly smile and warm welcome :) ⸻ 📝 Other Things to Note • Best suited for couples or 2 friends • Sleeps up to four guests (most comfortable for two) • Recommended for guests aged 12+ • Hosts live below in a separate residence and do not interfere with guests stays unless invited to assist on any accomodation matters that rarely but may arise from time to time. One small dog Enzo the pug also often occupies the hosts residence and has his very own outdoor space secure and seperate from the guests outdoor space. It is unlikely you will encounter Enzo during your stay as he sleeps most of his time inside relaxing in the cool in summer alternatively In front of the log fire in the cooler months:) 🐾🐾 Guest access Guest private parking for one car right in front of cottage on the wood chips. Plenty of Other street parking available directly opposite the cottage. Guest have exclusive private access and use without disturbance of guests courtyard, private deck area and private balcony terrace with garden & valley views. Guests privately access the cottage through antique orange garden gates which lead onto the private guest courtyard stairs. Private front door access to private guesthouse cottage accommodation awaits. Please note- Sorry, there is no guests access to the private garden property below as this is the hosts private residence.
