On entering the guest cottage with colour drenched green walls and ceiling you are transported to a very cosy interior full of original artwork, vintage furniture and dotted with little details to bring comfort and joy to guests. The charming and quirky Blue Mountains cottage is located just 10 minutes drive from historical Bilpin village and 7min drive to Kurrajong Village which has various casual eateries and gift shops. The property itself consist of 2 private dwellings with friendly and kind hosts Prue & Mathieu often occupying the second dwelling located in the garden residence below in this vertical mountain property. Paths rarely cross as Prue & Mathieu go about their busy & active lives, with work, study and travel and offer their guest privacy throughout their stay. They are available via the air bnb message if any questions arise during guests stay and always try to answer kindly without too much delay as best they can. Please note-we are not set up primarily to host young families and are more suited as a couples retreat or friends catchup. The cottage is most comfortable for 2 guests but we can sleep for maximum if required. The property is more suitable for children over 12yo. But we consider all booking request. Please enquire when booking your stay. The guest cottage although cosy has open plan living/dining and thoughtfully decorated with love and consideration to all things comfort and unique by hosts Prue & Mathieu with Rustic, Quirky and Cosy interiors throughout. The living area with a large floor to ceiling windows to enjoy the vast view of beautiful established trees of the gardens below. From the terrace the views extend onto the valley view below facing east and on a clear morning the sunrise can be beautiful to watch over a warm cup of freshly brewed house coffee or tea. The cosy Weatherboard cottage with original artworks has an eclectic mix of rare and comfortable furnishings from different decades. Surrounded by trees the outlook is nature in abundance….an artwork in itself. ENTERTAINMENT Vintage vinyl collection is a highlight for many guest. Plenty of Books, board games and vintage vinyls for a ‘relax and unwind’ retreat style getaway. We consciously have not included a TV anywhere at the property for a more meaningful stay without the distractions. Wifi is provided for those who wish to watch movies in bed with their own devices during their stay. THE COTTAGE Enter the property through the private leafy guest entrance upon arrival. Living area with velvet sofas, rare artworks and log burning fire for cooler weather. KITCHEN Full open kitchen with Italian espresso machine, gas stove, oven, dishwasher, full size fridge, pots, pans, and everything you need for cooking simple meals or more extravagant fair if you wish:) Enquire with a Prue if there is any particular cooking ammenities you require ahead of check-in ….she will be happy to oblige:) BEDROOMS King bedroom with valley views and adjoining balcony/terrace area complete with outdoor table and chairs perfect for a morning freshly brewed espresso coffee with a view or and evening cocktail amongst nature. Queen bedroom with original mural artwork and garden outlook. Both beds have 100% cotton sheets, linen quilt covers and an array of pillow densities to choose from for a comfortable nights sleep. OUTDOOR VINTAGE BATH Vintage hot water bath tub located in the private guest courtyard perfect to relax and unwind in nature. Epsom salts provided. PRIVATE OUTDOOR AREAS Private Front deck /courtyard exclusive for guest outside dining and entertaining. Private and spacious terrace area facing east with valley views and various seating areas. Private guest courtyard with vintage hot water bath and pizza oven for guest to enjoy. Exclusive guest use of Wood fired pizza oven. We offer DIY pizza kits to include ingredients to make you very own dough from scratch ( recipe included) and pizza sauce. NATURE & ADVENTURE From building one of the several log fires available at the cottage and becoming a ‘ weekend lumberjack’ :)…… to embarking on local bush walks or booking in the E-Mountain bike hire to cruise through the local scenic routes, this stay offers adventure for those who are keen to immerse in nature and take advantage on what’s on offer in the epic Blue Mountains. One small dog Enzo the pug also often occupies the hosts residence and has his very own outdoor space secure and seperate from the guests outdoor space. It is unlikely you will encounter Enzo during your stay as he sleeps most of his time In front of the log fire in the cooler months:) Guest access Guest private parking for one car right in front of cottage on the wood chips. Plenty of Other street parking available directly opposite the cottage. Guest have exclusive private access and use without disturbance of guests courtyard, private deck area and private balcony terrace with garden & valley views. Guests privately access the cottage through antique orange garden gates which lead onto the private guest courtyard stairs. Private front door access to private guesthouse cottage accommodation awaits. Please note- Sorry, there is no guests access to the private garden property below as this is the hosts private residence.
