Other things to note From the terrace you can see Lake Zurich. 5-minute walk to the lake. In just 20 minutes you are in the mountains in the snow or the hiking area by car. Great snow slopes in Einsiedeln / Hochybrig, curling, ice rink, etc. The Alpamare (indoor water playground) is open daily all year round and can be reached by bus or car in 7 minutes. In 5 minutes, you are at the lake without a car. This lakeside resort is beautiful in summer, small and fine with a good kitchen, large trees for enough shade, a baby pool, sandbox, climbing tower, etc. Admission free. A little further on, also directly on the lake, a playground oasis has been created with the possibility of barbecuing by the lake with wood provided. With a few exceptions, you can walk from there to Rapperswil via a beach path and the wooden bridge over Lake Zurich. From Pfäffikon you can take the passenger ship, or boat taxi, to the island of Ufenau, to Rapperswil or further to Zurich and back. In Pfäffikon am See, below the train station, there are plenty of parking spaces at the harbor and another lakeside resort. The large shopping center /Seedamcenter right next to the Alpamare, our indoor water playground, is great for shopping. Rapperswil, the rose city, on the other side of the lake is definitely worth a trip with the castle and the charming little lake old town. Drive along Seedammstrasse by car, boat, bike or on foot over the special wooden jetty to Rapperswil.
