Description

This 100+ year-old house is full of character and love. Close to stores, restaurants, Lake St Clair, Grosse Pointe Farms, St John Hospital. 15-minute drive to downtown Detroit. This room is for solo adventurers / business travelers. Simple, small room downstairs. I might agree to allow one dog, for $10 extra per night. But you must clear that with me first. Guest access Feel free to use the (big)kitchen along with staples (cooking oil, spices, sugar, etc). Provide your own food. Store it in my refrigerator and cupboard. Feel free to use the porch, back yard, and living room. Sheets, blankets, pillows, towels provided. Ample parking. During your stay Sometimes I'm busy or tired and don't interact much. Sometimes I have time, and am happy to share a meal or coffee, or even take guests to my favorite places. Other things to note My home is right near Grosse Pointe Farms, but it's in the city proper of Detroit, FYI. Detroit is an interesting mix of creativity, resilience, poverty, struggle, grit, and good people just trying to live a decent life. We have a complicated history. Nothing is simple.
