Ideal for couples and solo travellers seeking a peaceful Cornish escape. Please read the 'Other things to note' section and the rest of the listing before booking. The space Nestled in one of Cornwall's most picturesque fishing villages, our flat is the perfect place to experience authentic coastal charm. Enjoy fresh fish and locally caught crab from The Old Cellars Café, right next door, and soak up the unique atmosphere of beautiful Cadgwith. Guest access With countless coastal walks right on your doorstep, you can explore some of Cornwall's most spectacular scenery. Discover Poltesco, Kennack Sands, the dramatic Devil's Frying Pan, the picturesque village of Coverack, or head to The Lizard – the most southerly point in mainland Britain – all within easy reach. Other things to note Parking There is a public car park approximately 300 yards from The Loft, so there's no need to worry about finding somewhere to park. The scenic walk down to the cove is part of the charm, with beautiful views along the way. If you're standing in the cove with the beach on your left, the car park is up the hill through the pillars and signposted on the right. If you continue up the opposite side of the cove, you'll arrive in the village of Ruan Minor, where you'll find the local shop. Parking is currently £3 per day or £15 per week. Depending on the time of year, you may also find spaces available within the cove itself. If you do park there, please ensure you do not park on the fishermen's slipway at the top of the beach, block other vehicles, or obstruct the working tractor. Electricity & Heating The flat has a £1 coin electricity meter. We leave credit on the meter for all guests, but for longer stays or higher usage, it may need topping up. During the winter months, we also provide a complimentary starter bag of logs for the wood burner, perfect for cosy evenings. Additional logs can easily be purchased from the local shops in Ruan Minor or Mullion if needed. Recycling & Rubbish A recycling bag is located in the porch (through the door off the kitchen). For general rubbish, you're welcome to use the large wheelie bin next door at the café. If the café is closed or it's out of season, simply leave your bag in the entrance and send me a message—we'll take care of it for you. Wi-Fi Due to our beautiful coastal location, the Wi-Fi can be slower or less reliable than you may be used to. The router is located in the café next door, so if you experience any issues during opening hours, feel free to pop in. Otherwise, just send me a message and I'll be happy to help. The Wi-Fi details can be found on the dresser in the living area. Kitchen & Essentials We provide a selection of kitchen essentials, along with bed linen, two bath towels and two hand towels for your stay. Please note that cooking oil is not provided. Small freezer compartment within the fridge. TV & Entertainment Please note that the TV isn't listed as an amenity, as the aerial signal can occasionally be unreliable due to our location. However, the Smart TV has catch-up services available via Wi-Fi, and you're welcome to sign in to your own Netflix or other streaming accounts. There's also an old-school DVD player for anyone who still enjoys a film on disc! If you're planning a longer stay, we recommend bringing a tablet, iPad or a good book to enjoy. Better still, switch off, relax and make the most of everything Cadgwith and the stunning Cornish coastline have to offer.
