Description

Historical 1930's cabin. Once the home of the resident cheese maker. Restored to suit the style of the time. Situated on a cattle property in the picturesque McPherson Ranges. Has a fishing dam closeby. Sits below Mt. Edinburgh Castle. The property is part of the ancient Gondwana rain forest. From Woodenbong, take Glennie Street, becomes Boomi Creek Road, keep on the sealed road at the Brumby Creek turn. Travel a further approx 6km. Our place is not suited to young children. Enjoy the Dark Sky The space The cheesemakers cottage was originally a dairy farm in the early years. The cheese for here won an award at the Sydney show and consequentially it was sent to shows in London. Guest access Birdwatching on the wetlands. Platypus in Boomi Creek. Fishing in the dam. View Trufferee with prior arrangement with host. Wonderful bushland views for artists or for just relaxing with a wine on the back verandah. Our place is not suitable to young children because of the nearby dam. Other things to note Woodenbong township is 10 km away. The hotel has good meals and the pitstop cafe is open for coffee and meals till 3pm from Wednesday to Sunday. Food works is open every day for groceries. Enjoy the Dark Sky experience.
