Casa Torviscas: country cottage with stunning views. Modern rustic two bedroomed cottage. Cosy retreat, set in stunning countryside near the village of Gaucin, easy access to Ronda, Estepona, Gibraltar or Malaga. Peaceful, amazing views, looking towards the Mediterranean sea and Morocco. Walking distance from Gaucin with restaurants, shops, bank, post office, pharmacy and petrol station. The cottage includes exclusive use of a dip pool (available seasonally). The space Casa Torviscas is located 600m off the main road down a maintained farm track. Nestled into the hillside, the property is all on one level with a large terrace looking across the valley to the sea. It is surrounded by steep terraces of olive, almond and oak trees. Completely self contained with it own parking facilities (not suitable for a camper van), living accommodation, side ‘sun patio’ and large front open terrace with outdoor furniture and dip pool. At over 600m above sea level it does not have the heat and humidity of the coast in summer, conversely the winters are mild because of south facing location. It is the perfect setting for those wishing to explore Andalucía; a short distance from Gaucin it has easy access to the life of a ‘pueblo blanco’ but plenty of privacy and peace. A hideaway for birdwatchers, hikers, walkers, photographers and anyone wanting to relax in a stunning setting. Light-filled accommodation - a large open plan sitting room and kitchen/dining area with fully fitted kitchen and woodburning stove. Bathroom with shower. Two bedrooms: one with a king size bed; one with two single beds. The main south facing bedroom has large French windows opening onto a small balcony with spectacular views. Both bedrooms also have access to the side sun patio with two sunbeds. Facilities include air conditioning/heat in bedrooms, fridge, freezer, induction hob and electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine, Berkey water purifier, WiFi (recently upgraded with faster speed 20mbps+) and Smart TV. With the woodburner and heaters in the bedrooms, Casa Torviscas is very cosy in winter and a great choice for a winter break. Casa Torviscas is exclusive for guests with their own private access to the house, terrace and dip pool (available seasonally and not heated). The gate to the farm will be open when you arrive. Access to the house is via a key which we keep in a key box outside the door. We will send you the keycode when you book. You will also be given a key to open the automatic gate to the farm as we close the gate at night. Please note Casa Torviscas is located 600m off the main road down a farm track with a steep (first gear) final section. The house is all on one level with sloped access from the car parking area. Please note: Casa Torviscas is most enjoyed by people who feel comfortable living in the countryside and enjoy nature. You also need to feel comfortable with animals. We have three friendly cats and two lovely dogs who are always interested to meet new guests. Guest access Casa Torviscas is exclusive for guests. They do not share any spaces. The dip pool is private to the house and guests will have sole use of it. Other things to note We welcome children but please note the swimming pool does not have a barrier and parents need to be vigilant at all times.
