Initial logs for wood burner included. The space Paddock View is an excellent luxury barn conversation in the tranquil village of Knole. The property is a newly converted barn that has been completed to a high standard in keeping many of its original features. The main house is a Grade II listed thatched cottage dating back to 15th Century. Paddock view is located at the far end of the property where you can enjoy a cosy night by the wood burner or a night under the stars overlooking the beautiful views across the paddock and beyond. Enter through patio doors where you are welcomed into the large living room leading on to the dining room and kitchen, where the exposed original brickwork has been brought back to its former glory. In the living area there is sofa, chair, Smart TV, and wood burner which really compliment the room. Leading on to the dining area, which is positioned in the middle, there is a table which has seating for four with views across the paddock. There is a well-equipped kitchen area and down the hallway is a separate toilet . The bedroom is located at the rear of the property where you will find a super king size bed and stable doors leading to a beautiful bathroom with en-suite roll top bath open the French doors and enjoy the morning views across the Somerset countryside. Outside this lovely property leads to a place for a quiet break where you will find fantastic views across the paddocks where horses are kept with hens which also make an appearance from time to time. The property comes with a private patio area and use of the grounds from the main property which has various seating areas to enjoy the last of the summer sun. The local area leads itself to fantastic walks and if you wanted to venture out there is the Lytes Cary Manor part of the National Trust which is a 10-minute drive. The Haynes International motor museum is an 18-minute drive which offers an excellent day out for everyone. The village of Somerton is a short drive away where you will find country pubs, restaurants, and many other attractions to enjoy days out. The property has a guest information folder which contains details of places to eat out and visit in the local area. Guest access Paddock View is a detached barn with it's own private patio area and parking space for one car which guests have exclusive use of. There is also a pond area and mature gardens which guests are also invited to enjoy. Other things to note We have horses, cats, a Labrador and hens on site. For guests with children that may like to meet a pony, this property is ideal. We are also a short drive from World Horse Welfare which is open to the public. During the colder months, guests will need to make full use of the log burning stove as this is a detached barn conversation with stone walls. The temperature does not usually exceed 23 degrees inside during the coldest months which may not be warm enough for some guests.
