The room, with private bathroom, is located in an 1800 building recently restored, along one of the most elegant streets of the capitol, famous for its clothes shops, the theatre and bars. It's the big avenue that marks the northern limit of the most ancient neighborhood in Roma, Rione Monti, full of alleys, churches and small squares. New meeting point few steps away from Colosseo. The possibility to live the two souls of Roma, so big and cozy, "The great beauty"! :-) The space This is the room of the apartment we lived in for 5 years. We consider it perfect: central (in the widest street, full of bars and shops, 1st district of Roma); close to almost everything (Colosseo and Foro, piazza Venezia, via del Corso, piazza di Spagna, Trevi fountain, Santa Maria Maggiore basilica...); served by any mean of transport (Termini central station within 10 minutes walk, A and B Metro line at 5 and 10 minutes by foot, bus stop and taxi station just downstairs); but above all beautiful (ancient with modern design) in an 1800's restored building, next to Palazzo delle Esposizioni, one of the finest palace in Roma, since almost a century location of interesting contemporary art exhibition, shows and movies, the bar and an amazing glazed restaurant on the roof top... What else? All that's inside! The apartment is 50 square metres and has two double bedrooms. From here you will book our room, with french bed and its own private bathroom - plus the big living room with the couch, island/kitchen (equipped with oven and dishwasher) and the hallway with the closet, shared with possible other guests As we love art, around the house you can find works from Roma, our travels and friends, from Sicily to Tanzania to Brazil. But most of all, the pictures of my brother, Jacopo Rinaldi, emergent artist (look for his portfolio on internet!) and other artists and friends. About us, we are freelance journalists, we write about culture(s) and societies on our blog StereoType Magazine (if you want to read us) and we are aspiring authors and screenwriters. We are going to move in an apartment nearby, you can enjoy our cozy home, confident that you will take care of it :) PS For the possible THIRD GUEST there is the couch in the living room! And he/she shouldn't be too tall othewise doesn't fit! The mattress is precisely 1 meter and 80 centimeters long. PPS if you are highly sensitive to noises, just to know that we overlook on a fascinating fire station, built in 1933 in a "rationalist" style... and still working! Luckily, who restored our condo in 2012 considered that and put insulating windows (we advise you to keep them closed only at 8 am and 8 pm, when for 15-20 minutes they check every possible device of their trucks!) The show isn't bad, though, and it's for free: “we appreciate in particular the hot fire fighters view”, someone wrote on our guestbook... ;-) Guest access If you are booking our room you'll ge the whole apartment anyway, with no shared spaces due to coronavirus restrictions. It's just reduced from 2 to 1 bedroom + living room/kitchen and the closet on the hallway, locked for short term stays, but let us know if you will need to use the washing machine. In the kitchen (table/fridge/cupboards) we always leave something for BREAKFAST (rigorously italian! so coffee, tea, milk, biscuits or croissants... only sweet stuff sorry;) During your stay We are usually in the city and we are pleased to meet you and/or keep in touch with you through Airbnb or Whatsapp for any doubt, advice, need...! Other things to note Due to the particular period we all are going through we decided some changes following the Airbnb guidelines. SELF CHECK-IN ONLY As long as the emergency is active in Italy (at the moment until January 31, 2021) access to the apartment can be done without "physical contact" via locker. CLEANING ... AND DISINFECTION Such as "disinfect with particular care the surfaces that are touched most frequently", including knobs, switches, remote controls... 24-HOUR CLOSING WINDOW AT BEGINNING AND END OF STAY Many studies establish that spending a few hours (Airbnb from American sources reports 3 hours) is enough to avoid contamination of objects and surfaces. But other studies don't seem to say the same. Given the uncertainty, and to have additional security for both you and us, we have added a closing window of 1 day before a possible arrival and after departure. Home will be fully ventilated before cleaning. COHABITATIONS BETWEEN TRAVELERS ... SUSPENDED Having to avoid any cohabitation with other people (to our great regret), we have transformed this and another listing (which previously concerned the 2 rooms of the house taken separately) into 2 new advertisements from "whole houses" ... but smaller, ideal for couples (or maximum 3 people considering the sofa), but always guaranteeing a reserved space. This announcement therefore concerns the entire apartment equipped with the smaller room with shower; for the whole apartment with the bigger room with hot tub or if you are a group or a family of 4-5 people (always considering also the sofa) contact us.
