Vintage Dutch Colonial, antique den-like decor throughout. Barbecue available on large outdoor deck. A short walk to downtown Washougal where dining and options include excellent bar fare at Amnesia Brewing, fine dining at The Hearth, and much more. This place is perfect for those coming to explore the scenic Columbia River Gorge, just a short drive up the river. I'm a laid back owner that won't mind a little frivolity and party atmosphere! The space This is a classic Dutch Colonial with some interesting history involving some of the original settlers in the area. It's updated with vinyl windows and carpet throughout, but many of the original details remain. The room is cozy and simple, with a Full size bed, a small desk and chair, an end table, and air-conditioner. Guest access Short term guest can use the upstairs bedroom, the downstairs bathroom with clawfoot tub/shower, and the kitchen. Guests staying longer than 1 week may use the living room with entertainment center, the dining room, and the laundry as well. During your stay Depending upon the time of week you arrive, and how many days you will be staying, I may be available to discuss your options for activities and dining. I like playing tour guide to the area! However, I work a lot, and therefore often opt for an early bedtime. Other times, I may be up late. Often on shorter stays, I don't actually end up meeting my guest in person, but I'm always available by text, phone or email to make your stay more enjoyable. Other things to note My dog is the most important thing to me. I stay up late sometimes and keep to myself in my office or bedroom with the dog usually, but she may also wander around and say hi. Please keep your bedroom door closed if you don't want her to pop in unannounced for a visit! Please don't feed the dog without my permission. I leave for work early most days. Please secure the house thoroughly before leaving.
