Without electricity, Dolgoch is close to stunning wild countryside, great walking and cycling. Peace, isolation, red kites and dark skies. Located in The Cambrian Mountains, the last true wilderness in Wales the hostel is in an upland area studded with rocky outcrops, near the River Towy, forestry, standing stones and stone circles. It is steeped in cattle droving and farming history. You will experience a solitude almost impossible to find elsewhere in Wales or England. Keep it a secret! The space You will have your own 4 bedded room and will share kitchen, common room and bathrooms with other guests. All bedding is provided and, for reasons of hygiene, we do not allow sleeping bags to be used. Guest access Check in is between 5pm and 10pm. You will be given a door code, so that you can have day time access during your stay. Enquire about accommodation for wheel chair users. During your stay Warden has his/her own ensuite room, but will share the hostel kitchen. The warden will know the area very well and will advise you about walks etc. Other things to note Nearest shops, pubs etc are 10 miles away at Tregaron and Llanwrtyd Wells, so bring food with you! Dogs are not allowed on site.
