Description
Welcome to Parc de Lignieres in the beautiful Languedoc. A large friendly house with huge courtyard and 'outside kitchen' ideal for entertaining; the entirely walled & private 'parc' with heated saline pool & sunbathing deck & bar. There is the vineyard for picnics & sundowners watching the sunset over the Pyrenees. The region is famous for great wine, authentic markets, ancient castles, bike rides, beaches & sunshine. Space for all & something for everyone! The space The house is in the middle of a typical old French village with a shop and excellent restaurant. The house is large and comfortable with WIFI, TV (+ Apple), Play Stations, games, toys, books and a piano. The courtyard is private and secure with enough space to park cars. There are numerous areas for outside eating. The Parc can be accessed through outbuildings and has plenty of space for outdoor games; badminton, football and boules, plus swings and hiding places. There is a games room with 2 table tennis tables and an ergo. The pool is entirely private, heated and saline treated, and is in the sunshine all day. There are sunbathing chairs and a pool bar and pool room. Lots of exotic wild birds visit the secluded garden. The village is surrounded by vineyards with great walks and bike rides directly from the house. A short drive from the village is a variety of interesting places such as the ancient city of Carcassonne, the Canal de Midi, the roman town of Narbonne, numerous Mediterranean beaches and lakes Guest access Guests will have the entire house, courtyards, games room, parc, pool area plus bar and pool room all to themselves. We offer a high degree of privacy as the entire property is surrounded by high walls with trees ensuring you cannot be overlooked. Other things to note A unique quality of the village, there is a loud speaker system around the village whereby merchants visiting the village to sell their wares are announced by the town mayor by loud music. And it can be music from any era! The bread man will drive around the village at 11 hooting, he sells a wonderful collection of freshly made bread.
