Linnéaholmen: Private island reached by footbridge

Welcome to Linnéaholmen – a unique place on a private island in Storsjön. The island is accessible via a short footbridge from a private parking area, which is prepared for charging an electric car (3-phase). Linnéaholmen is perfect if you want the luxury of fantastic views, peace and quiet, and a big charming house with room for up to 10 persons. Linnéaholmen is located between Östersund (30 km) and Åre (60 km). Åre-Östersund airport is only 20 km away, and Krokom train station is 15 km away. The space You get the whole island and the house with room for up to 10 persons all to yourselves. The house is ca 250 square meters big, has six bedrooms and four bathrooms, where two bathrooms are equipped with showers. There are also two fully-equipped kitchens and two living rooms. In the dining room, there is a large dinner table with room for up to 12 persons. Currently, we can unfortunately not offer bedsheets, since we live in Stockholm and do not have the opportunity to do washing between guest stays. On Linnéaholmen, there are two dug canals which are inspired by Venice. Apart from the big house, there is also a sauna house with a shower and relax room, as well as a magnificent panorama over Storsjön. Accompanying the sauna house is a large patio with a table for the lovely summer dinners by the water. It also has a ladder to the sea if you want to go for a swim. We can also offer access to a canoe during your stay at Linnéaholmen. On the island, there is also an old-fashioned baking house, which mainly has been used for the local craft of baking thin-bread. There is also a beautiful gazebo. Guest access You get the entire island of ca 5000 square meters all to yourselves. You are welcome to use the canoe on the island.
