Cozy house in a tower near the Canal du Midi

This old tower of the ramparts, with massive walls, transformed into 3 rooms (50 m²) with exposed beams, oiled floor, welcoming and cozy, is necessarily atypical! Its architecture is that of a tower: a spiral staircase (modernized) serves the floors of the building. It accommodates 4 people in the center of a village surrounded by vineyards and the Canal du Midi. Enjoy its terrace and equipped kitchen, close to Carcassonne, Cathar castles, the sea and the mountains. The space the accommodation is located in an old tower of the ramparts of Ginestas dating from the Middle Ages. Its architecture is that of a tower: a spiral staircase, in oiled wood, serves the floors of the building, the walls are massive (between 80 cm and 1 m). Transformed into a winegrower's house in the 19th century, it is located in the center of the village, quiet but 25 meters from shops: It is decorated with rustic furniture and has mosquito nets for your comfort, it is easy to maintain. On the ground floor is the kitchen/dining room, on the 1st floor the living room/guest room, on the 2nd floor the bedroom and bathroom. Thanks to its location in the village, you will have the opportunity, if you wish, to take the time to enjoy a good glass of wine in front of the house while chatting with the neighbors, like the other inhabitants of the village. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire house via a key safe. We have equipped the house for daily use: it is therefore comfortable and made to facilitate life and the stay. Garden furniture is installed in front of the house, to have breakfast or aperitif outside. Please note that we do not provide linens, and that we only accept pets after payment of a cleaning fee. Other things to note Ginestas is an ideal place to stay for those who want to discover the Aude or Languedoc: you can go in the same day to the top of the mountains of Minervois and swim in La Franquie/Gruissan. You can cycle along the Canal du Midi, and/or rent a boat on the canal, and in the evening go to Carcassonne, you can go for a walk on the port of Sète and do the Féria in Béziers in the evening, you can walk in a Cathar castle and end with a swim in the river, or a visit to the abbey in Corbières...
